Someone must just post it to the Chrome Web Store. It is a safety feature so that Chrome cannot suffer from the 'IE screen of tool-bars' If nobody wants to do it, I'll post it.

You can overcome it by downloading the installer to your computer and install it from there. Beside Chrome Web Store, your computer is considered as safe place...

Doesn't work with user scripts
There is no way to install them directly anymore. Best thing about that: The "response" from Google to that issue:
-If it is an extension you wrote yourself, you can upload it to the webstore and publish it in a "hidden" state so that only people with the link, or people in a set of trusted tester users, can install it.
There's no way I'll spend 5$ just because they think I my userscripts may not be safe for me
