Have a look at EuroTalk Interactive[^] - I have tried one of them many years ago, and IIRC it worked.

It was about 15 years or so ago - and so I can't remember how much of it I remember from them, and how much from using it!

The most interesting thing I found when learning French, is that they don't have their own word for 'Entrepreneur'.

Yeah I have an account on there. We are using livemocha at home, but I was looking for audio. Like background listening while working.

Watch kids TV programs. (Online probably). With a bit of learning, the context and simple stories they provide will make it easier, but, let me say that what you are doing is difficult, French pronunciation is very difficult for English speakers, and while doing it this way might teach you how to understand it, it wont tech you how to pronounce it, or how the language is structured, for these you need to be in France, and learn it from a book.
So, what I found good was the Hugo 'learn French in three months' and it did. I learnt all the grammar and a good vocab in that time.
I then lived in France for 10 years, and was OK at French, but it was only co sharing with a load of French guys in Lux on one contract that I got to really understand it properly and speak it to the point I was mistaken for a native French speaker on a number of occasions, which for a late learner shows it can be done.
Of course, 6 French mates cant be ordered up on demand, but if there is a French society near by you join that would go a long way.
And it is the most beautiful language, and a very interesting language too. And also learning it will allow yo to read Italian and Spanish to a large degree.

The audio is supplementary. I am learning from some basic courses now, and have some french speaking friends who are anxiously awaiting conversations with me
I just wanted this to help me along. I planned to switch to tv shows and radio when I get my feet down some, but for now I just need some background stuff to assist in learning.

Donc c'est facile! T'as eu de la chance!
Documentaries are good, they are slowly spoken, and again, have good context, but be ware, as dictated French they might well contain the passé simple and passé anterior tenses which you never hear in normal speech, though you might read them.
Best of all are cooking documentaries; simple French, well spoken, good context. Worst of all are French films, they are almost impossible to understand at times.
Mais, après quoi, dix ans, tu peut en faire!

Ten years. Right! The French should just all learn English and then there wouldn't be any of these pronunciation problems.
I agree the French films should be avoided. A lot of my French friends say the same!

What was that Irish film with that American actor in it recently, about gangsters. His accent was so bad I couldn't understand it. That's what French films are like.

Puis-je vous suggérer "Babbel.com" et éventuellement "frenchculture.org/" pour la TV, les Films, etc..?
