No. I think he meant like the French army surrendering without warning leaving the British army surrounded at Dunkirk along with a few Frenchmen who didn't get the memo.
[Edit: Actually it was the Belgians that surrendered first. The French didn't surrender until a few days later while the evacuation was still ongoing.]

I recently starting doing French lessons with my daughter. I wanted a french to english sort of passive listening, but I can't find any that I like. I can find all french, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'd like to find some audio learning type of thing that says words/phrases in one language and then the other.
Anyone know of anything like this?
