Ah, I should have been clearer. I didn't mean "dead", as in no further development, I meant, do sites that provide changing content still use RSS to allow people with feedreaders and whatnot to get the content without having to visit the site.

Gotcha.
I'm not a web developer, but if I had anything to do with any web site, I'd make sure that anything that made sense to have available over RSS would be there.
Of course none of this helps you here...

I'm starting to not see RSS feeds when I look for them more frequently than I did a few years ago.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

In the olden times you had to send in a model of you invention when you applied for a patent.
These model has of course become collectors items.
Here's a quiz[^] where you can take a guess what they are supposed to be.
I'm ashamed to admit that I only scored 13 out of 20.

I got 10 out of 20 - strangely enough I would have scored much higher if I'd let my initial instincts dictate my choices.

Same here.

Isn't that usually the way it is? Same thing in poker. A fold 2-7 when my instincts say not to, and the flop comes up 2-7-7!

I'll take a look later, but it reminds me of a game I had as a kid (in the 70s) that dealt with weird patents, e.g. "Eye protector for chickens" and "Horse water wings".

I'm talking about my stereo of course
I've had this bad boy[^] for about 15 years.
Unfortunately the CD's get stuck in the disc changer on regular basis since about a year.
The problem seems to be that whenever I start the stereo the drawer moves a bit causing the CD reader to put the CD on the ledge of the drawer instead of in it. Or some such thing. I don't know how that stuff works.
Anyway, this morning my CD fell behind the drawer and I had to go through some trouble to get it back.
I'm now looking for a new stereo, but nothing seems to have the options I want.
I need a tape deck, at least a three disc changer, a sleep function and a wake-up function (and that's actually all I want).
I know I've got all that functionality in my phone (well, not in CD and tape format), but I want a good old fashioned CD player to play all my CD's
Recommendations are welcome.

Had some good times recording mixtapes from radio. Listening until your favourite song came on, pressing the record button and pressing the stop button when it ended. Your songs were always interrupted by talking of the show hosts though. Good old times. I don't miss that though

What price range are you looking at, and do you want to upgrade or does it have to be "portable"?
Anyway, I believe that the tape deck is going to be a second hand, really crappy or very expensive. They're simply not mass produced with any type of quality any more.
