How many times do you blanch the peel?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I'm not sure about 'blanch'...Do you mean to put it in-out of boiling water?
None...I put the peel in to cold water for 3 days (changing water twice a day) than cook it with sugar...

"Blanch" - "cook briefly in boiling water".
The recipes for candied orange peel I found all suggested "a number" of them to reduce the bitterness, so I assume that's what the 3 day soak does - removes the bitter oils without damaging the flavour molecules.
I'll have to try it, maybe later this week (no oranges in the house at the moment).

Exactly - the 3 day soak is for the removing the bitter taste of the 'white' of the peel...It also helps in the cooking phase as the 'white' is soft like a sponge and readily absorbs the sugar...

Should I choose apple or orange to eat?
People can tell you how is apple and orange feel like, their taste.
No matter how, those answers are just belong to others.
I don't like apple. Do you?
You can't really find the real answer UNTIL you eat it with your own mouth and taste it with your own tongue.

Herself needs new shoes for work, but she hates shopping (Yay!) - so She's been complainign that her work shoes leak for a month or so. Today, I insisted she got new ones.
So she decides the town we go to, and I drive her over there.
First shop: nothing she likes.
Second shop: nothing she likes.
Third...you get the idea.
Final shop: nothing she likes.
Solution?
Go to a different town? No: Go back to the first shop and buy the first pair she tries on...
She does this every time! Just for that I won't tell her she has a dentists appointment until 30 minutes before it's due, this afternoon...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

That sounds extremely strange. I have never met a woman who doesn't like shopping for shoes - and that to an extend that she will buy around 200 pairs more than she needs...
Are you sure that she's not sick?

Herself is pretty good in that regard: I think she has only about four pairs.
But she hates shopping - which is good in that she doesn't spend much, but bad in that I have to do it.
The trouble with that is that sometimes she has to be forced into it: shoes and suchlike that you have got to try on. And then she spends the entire time swearing...
Still, I'll get my own back this afternoon - she hates dental check-ups even more!

it should've been
1) drop swmbo/'er indoors at shop
2) go to pub
3) wait for swmbo/'er indoors to finish shopping

better buy some frozen peas - they'll be great for the bruises she's going to give you

You're expecting a woman to like the first thing she sees? C'mon, love at first sight is a property of men. :P
public class Human {
public bool Gender { get; set; }
public bool LovesAtFirstSight { get; set; }
}
Now if you set true for Gender you set true for LovesAtFirstSight, otherwise it throws exception, chief.

Picking Boolean as the type for a property called Gender is an interesting choice.

But not a practical choice.

Well, actually it makes perfect sense. Either you've got a 1 or you've got a 0.

And what if you have both? Or none?
(More common than you might think!)
Or if you started with a 1 and are moving to a 0?
Or you have a 1 body and a 0 mind?
I think gender is rather more analog than digital...

You mean like if you lose it in the war???
Dang, I mentioned the war. Don't mention the war! I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it...

How does that work? Do you buy two pairs of the same shoes or are the front and back feet different sizes?

I hate that people refer to their wives as herself.
Nothing personal, it just sounds terrible.

I refer to mine as "Senior Management!"

Not a chance!
After nearly 37 years we have an arrangement: I don't go clothes or shoe shopping with her and she doesn't ask.
On the other hand she always comes when it's my turn, no doubt attempting to ensure I don't make a COMPLETE fool of myself. Even after 37 years she hasn't worked out that that's futile!
