Only a select few will understand the joke, I had to update your rep. Not like some of the crud jokes you get here that should be deleted (I'd like to execute some posters). I say let's insert some amusing values into this transaction and commit to following procedure. Let's create an index of good taste, clustered around solid relationships.

Perception vs Reality.
After many years of pondering, I now feel that Perception is Reality.
What say thou?
For those who have the wherewithal to read on, here is the fine print (this is all my opinion, based on several events, experiences, readings, over all these years; please feel free to comment):
Consider two states:
Dream: During a dream, my mind creates a new universe and passes me through some events, circumstances. After the dream is over, this is all false. But, at the time the dream is happening, it is real; I meet a friend there, and talk to him, etc. and all this is real then. I come across a dangerous situation, and instinctively attempt to escape; maybe the heart pounds faster at that time; this is real. So, the perception felt during a dream is indeed reality. For each dream, the universe is different.
Waking: Similar to a dream, with an important difference: The dream repeats every day within the same universe, with the same set of people and locations. With every passing day, the perception changes, and hence the reality also changes. In other words, I perceive a new 'fact' about a person or situation; and this is my new reality. In essence, perception is reality. Notwithstanding the fact that this reality changes every day. The day my life ends, this is all false.
Did the above cause a perceived confusion in your mind? Well, that is indeed reality.

It's an irrelevant debate.
But keep in mind that your perception defines your reality, not mine, just as my perception defines my reality, not yours. It's pretty darn amazing that we can actually have a shared consensual reality.

Some of us already new that. The others are in denial.

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

you all don't exist you are just brains floating in a jar fed life from a computer (and looking at some of the questions in Q&A I now know where all the old 286's ended up)

From an old Usenet quote:
"Some scientists say that the brain is like a computer. If that is true, then there are no stupid people; only a few running DOS"
I'm sure we could come up with a more contemporary version...
