I guess I finally have to learn MVC. I'm honestly not looking forward to it...
In other news, I passed my CompTIA Security+ certification exam yesterday.

I hope you don't mean ASP.NET MVC. A lot of people think ASP.NET MVC[^] is the real MVC[^].

Still better than the "Look it works"-Method.
"How does it work?"
"By force!"
"By what?"
"I threw everything together, see it works!"
if(this.signature != "")
{
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}

Also "I don't know how it works" method too.

Keep an open mind - hehe - it is actually quite nice in that it addresses "separation of concerns" and TDD.
If you are disciplined enough you will find TDD to be a better way to develop.
If you are not disciplined enough it will be a huge pain in the ass.

Congrats!, I guess just another piece of paper eh?
MVC ain't to bad! I tried it a couple of years ago and thought it was a POS but I recently rewrote my web site using MVC and I liked it. It has quirks like anything else but it's intuitive and powerful.

I dabbled in it a year ago, and found nothing intuitive about it. Keep in mind that I really don't like web development, and I'm not currently being paid to do it, so it's that much harder for me to commit to learning it. In point of fact, the ONLY reason I'm going to take a serioous stab at it is that I think I've come up with a money-making idea, and it can only be implemented using a web site.

PHP!
Seriously though, I reworked an open source project (PHP and MySQL) almost two years ago, just as a POC for a client. They weren't interested at the time, so it was shelved...but apparently not totally forgotten as they requested another demo, which was yesterday, and gave approval. Now I have to make a decision on a new framework, probably MVC which will be new to me. Yay

I actually like MVC and found it fairly easy to pick up and I'm not a web developer by any means.
I found the separation of concerns to be more to the way I do things. As with anything uSoft there are quirks but manageable. I used NVC5 and they've come out with a new version, I just glanced over it and decided I was to far into the project to convert.

Stop joking. Definitely.
