Not digitally no
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!" - Hunter S Thompson - RIP

Because it is, and there really is no need for it. We are all quite capable of reading normal font, normasl case text. It is similar to people telling us what we must, or must not, do when answering their question (naming no names).

Surprisingly, I haven't heard any complaints about 'top posting' for years!
15-20 years ago, the usenet/email Moral Mafia demanded that if you made a followup/reply to a post/letter, you retain complete copies of every earlier entry in the same thread, in chronological order, before adding your own stuff. In lengthy debates, you might have to wade through hundred of lines before finding anything new. The Mafia insisted that no other option was accepted, and they detested usenet/email editors that by default opened a space for your reply above the copy of the earlier debate.
For unexplainable reasons, top posting has become socially acceptable nowadays. Sort of like we used to do in the days of paper letters: We put our new letter in front, and enclosures (such as information from earlier letters) behind it. Maybe there were other reasons as well.
Sidetrack re. caps - the headgear:
It has been adopted in the Norwegian language, with the English plural form as the singular form. Like 'one caps, two capses' (en caps, to capser). That is the case for a number of English terms, such as a slip of cloth, today called a tie, is one 'slips' in Norwegian; most people do not know that the s is an English plural s. Same with (fruit) drops - the singular Norwegian form is 'et drops'.

Oh yeah! I had forgotten all about that.

Maybe because the software company invite RSVP to the company picnic only had 3 people back then. Now there are 10,000.

I hate the POS that is Eclipse.
The IDE I'm using is built on Eclipse and even with the lipstick it's still a pig!

I gave up Eclipse long ago. At first I liked it, but it kept morphing until I had to let it go.
For most of my C applications, I use Code Blocks. It has an amazing editor.
I am back messing with VS. Talk about porky. Don't get me started again.
But I don't have choice at this time. Grrrr.
I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
That seems to have tamed it's spooky behavior, a bit.
Previous install problem was probably my choice of options, but Lord knows. There are so many.

I'm using Keil, which is based on Eclipse, and it makes me miss VisualStudio... 6.
Sadly there are no VS plugins that open Keil projects, which contain several key configurations and the list of compiled files for every target. I am still using VS as the main code editor in folder mode, but it has some issues. Still better than Keil, which I use only as compiler and debugger.

I've used Keil and didn't think much of it either.. I'm using STM32CubeIDE for developing ARM projects and I miss VS.
I've been using VS since it was a BETA so I guess it's just what you learned to use.

I find the functionalities too crude (can't set the watch windows at design time, serach for symbols is wonky...), and the UI is terrible even compared to VS6. It's also 2023 so a dark mode should be available everywhere, I don't like two millions suns shot straight into my eyes and lowering the brightness too much make my eye strain to see the letters.

i use blue filter glasses and have the background set to the color of the universe . i never cared for dark mode though it looks fancy . my eyes are comfortable w/ this situation .

That is if you can set the background color, possibly with the color scheme adapting on its own. I usually go with gray modes if availbale rather than a pure black, but nowadays dark mode isn't usually black anyway.
I use dark mode everywhere I can: Gmail, Youtube, my phone, eReaders, VisualStudio, Outlook... My eye fatigue is exceptionally reduced, even using autodarkening lenses with blue light filter and the blue olight filter on the monitor itself.
