One thing that might not be obvious (and I apologise - I haven't read the entire thread so someone else may have already said this) ...
Regarding Quote: Questions will be simply deleted (by a single member), because they deemed
unworthy I have noticed sometimes that I have been listed as the only member closing a post yet when I have "reported" it (unclear, off topic, not a question etc) then mine is the third report - i.e. 2 other members thought the same before me, yet my name is the only one listed.
It doesn't bother me because I know I wasn't the only person who thought that way! The point is posts are usually only deleted/closed once sufficient members have flagged them.
A single Protector can delete a post. For example, I can do that, but I reserve that act for clear spam or self-answers to questions where the member really meant to update their question or post a comment (in the latter case I always let the poster know what I am about to do and provide guidelines to avoid the problem in the future). If you think a Protector (including me) is abusing that power, then please report it to Chris or Sean or via the Sugs&Bugs forum

There was a big thread way back when, "Gold members are abusing this site". Just like now, it wasn't so much that it wasn't happening, but the evidence for it was poorly chosen and almost everyone got hung up on that instead of addressing the actual issue.

dude,
you are very new to this site. man up, change your panties, and learn. I rarely venture to the questions area. I would love to tutor someone, but looking at the questions, well, really - they are mostly homework. Most of these "high ranking members" who are now appointed as HRMs have answered so many questions and have been soooooo patient. It's why only some people have nuclear weapons and death rays. Their patience has been tasked...
so suck it up.
I'm not being harsh. So you got your feelings hurt. Big damn deal. You have so much to learn from the people on this site. So much breadth, wealth of info. Don't cheat yourself by getting your panties all in a wad. Learn, adapt, overcome. (name that movie).

I think you might mean "Adapt, improvise, overcome"?!?!?

0x01AA wrote: Look at how many times questions were deleted today, simply because you were not correctly written in English ... and yes sometimes also a little bit poor explained…but please…
We Need Information to answer questions. Even though high-rep (unsure if I'm going to Count myself into this Group) members usually have a good bit of experience, we still can't answer questions where the asking Person is only giving out an exception message and a stack trace.
There would be a bit missing: Where in the code does the exception happen? Was it working before? If you get an XML Parse exception that is mostly due to corrupted XML data, but to actually help you out with your Problem we Need to see how you are trying to read the data.
Mind you that this is only an example.
0x01AA wrote: b.) Not every member is a member for several years. That a question be repeated is probably the normal!
Depends. Sometimes we see People who are asking a question which had an answer on the first Google Search result when actually searching for it. This is a PITA for everyone.
0x01AA wrote: The repetitive and pedantic teachings of some members nerves sometimes more than the spammers!
I (personally) doubt that. We're not going to do anyone's homework (and believe me, it is easy to spot These)
0x01AA wrote: Do you ask yourself why it really comes now and then to outbursts?
I was once one of the outbursts, but I will do my best in the future to represent Low Rep Members!
Outbursts are a reason to Close the account, but after an apology the admins usually reopen an account. Any outburst (by high- and low-rep members) Need to be reported to the S&A Forum[^] .
I personally see outbursts as something bad (including a lack of self-control and politeness), Independent whether they come from new or older members.
0x01AA wrote: And yes you certainly recognize, English is not my native language otherwise my words would be much more direct!
Neither it is mine, nor it is to about guessed 40% to 50% of the active high rep members.
0x01AA wrote: All this can lead to an inbred community. Newbies are afraid from asking a question, and more than this they will never answer one.
From the mass of questions coming in Minute by Minute, I can't say this is true for CodeProject.
0x01AA wrote: And yes, a little disappointing that the moderation blocks this in a way. I think I phrased it (maybe very) critical, but never abusive.
Any one can vote, but then again we're on the Internet. Even CodeProject isn't free from black sheeps.

Perhaps you should refer to the Sanity Clause.

I think they did use a human translator; computer translators would not have done such a poor job.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

I prefer they stay inept at English. If they ever manage to speak the language like a native, it may take more time to realize it's spam. With poor English, it only take a few words, perhaps even just the subject line.
I love the fact that automated spam filters have forced spammers to so mangle words in the subject line to try and fool the filters that it makes it very easy for a human to filter. I mean, seriously, who the hell would trust an online pharmacy that spells things like v1agra and pharrmaccy?
