It worked fine when I did it that way. I've been using a Samsung Smart Blu-ray player recently, that works well too.

Oh good!
I've been using LocalCast on my Android tablet, and that interfaces to my NAS brilliantly. But I know that Amazon was very anti Chromecast in the beginning, probably because they hadn't finished their version...

I use my XBox One with prime, is that any help?
My TV could also do it...
Otherwise why not go the easy way? Laptop to TV and you are set

I'd like a solution that Herself can understand! And she has found the simplest way to take a picture with her android phone is to grab a random passer by and say "You're young, you know how to do this"...

Maybe the XBox One is your solution then ... you just have to talk argue with it to open amazon prime and search what you want. XD
It's not that bad at all am very pleased with it, the voice commands work properly although my neighbours must think i am a psycho, talking with my tv
EDIT:
I know its a very expensive Blu_Ray-Player, Mediacenter if you don't play any games at all...

A Chrome thingy is about £20 in the UK an XBox One £300, I know which one I'd pick.

As is said, if you just use it as a Blu-Ray-Player or Mediacenter it is indeed very expensive

Herself talks to the TV enough already.
Mind you, most of that is swear words...

Btw, friends of mine reported some good news regarding Win10 upgrade. Running smooth/fast in Parallels on Mac, and in PC Tablets, though many experienced some sort of video driver issues.
PS. ...and, btw, don't let the first Launch Failure[^] to discourage you! Stay calm and keep trying...

Having tried to install it all day (and failed every single time), all I can say is:
Windows 10 appears to BE the joke...

It's not that fast.
At a rate of 16 installations/second, they will have about 500,000,000 installations per year. This is half of their target.
EDIT: Beaten to the post by Dan Neely http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/5100373/Re-Microsofts-Windows-upgrade-counter-shows-instal.aspx[^]
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.
