Pretty sure VBA is not licensed to give absolution, so I'd say no.

Lets just say I read the subject line, opened the message, and...well, I'll just summarize it as "surpassing my expectations".

I am not proud of this. I simply state it here as a warning to others, that should they go the way of the 6th of VB, they will then understand the shame that goes along with such actions.

Speak ye not to the grayed wizard of Up, for he shall lead thee to certain doom. Rewrite ye thine code unto the sea of sharp, using thine own two hands, and thou shalt be saved.

Verily I say unto thee, that the Lord has given-eth me time to rewrite such an abomination. Alas, I first must harken upon a call to hastily fix-eth a bug.

Nay, the existence of such a bug wouldst suggest the vessel to be otherwise. Contemplate thou the very meaning of such, and thou shalt find the creature itself to be thine bug. Bring down thine the power of the sharpened sea, and smite the insect!
Ok... I can't do this anymore... It gives me nightmares about a religious upbringing I didn't even have
So... Minimum patch to fix the bug, then scrap the damn thing and build one that works. I did that ten years ago at my first hedge fund job... Of course, it shut down before I could decommission the old version...

And how are you planning to compile it.
Some of the old VB6 code we have will only run when compiled on an old XP computer rather than anything newer. (it will compile on 7, but not run properly)
I have to keep a XP virtual machine just for the task.. (I'm hoping to have got rid of all VB6 programs in the next 12 months.. Yipee)

I'm not actually. The build process is on another machine. I just need to edit some code and hope to God it doesn't crash.

Did you add a DoEvents() so it looked like it was multithreading?

I hope you did so on a VM, so all you need to do is a secure erase of the VM files, rather than calling in the hazmat team.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

I'm rather shocked it is willing to run under Windows 7. Or are you running it in a Windows 2000 VM?
