I heard that Freddie Mercury like Mars Bars. Does that count as Mars being in the house of Mercury?

That was Marianne Faithfull.
So Mars would be in the House of Jagger.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

The key word in the original message is 'Sometimes'.
Sometimes, do as OP says; at all other times, do as you say.

Now that requires guts and belief that what's coming next will be far more better than what's gone.

Most of the time I appreciate what's gone, look forward to what remains, and hopefully forget what comes next.

So I went to this gig yesterday, some friends had to play.
Turned out to be quite a special evening as there were four paying customers: the two friends I came with and me and the friend of another band member.
What's even more memorable was the second performance by some guy who built his own instrument
He called it The Howitzer[^] and it's pretty cool.
For an idea what sounds it can produce check out this video[^] (it's somehow wired to his laptop).
It's rather noisy live, I guess it's pretty hard to get it sounding right for the sound people
If you're into experimental electronic music you should really check it out (and if you're not you should at least see the instrument)!

I checked out the site and it is really interesting that he made his own instrument.
I watched the video about how he made it and listened to a few songs and watched parts of a couple of videos.
All I really wanted to see was the instrument in action. What is that thing? I never did see it or hear it that I know of.
So, the howitzer is an electronic instrument right?
Does he play it like a piano but with keys similar to a saxophone? Does he have to blow air through it to make it work?
Tell Shortout to make one simple video of himself playing the thing.

He doesn't have to blow. He can open a lever to play a sample on repeat and there are some levers that have to be pushed to make it make sound.
From what I understood each lever gives a signal (either digital or analogue) which is sent to his laptop. I don't really know what his laptop does with it though.
I do know it has LOTS of bass...
His Facebook page[^] has some pictures of him playing.

It's really cool. He should do a TED talk on creating a new instrument or something so he gets the information out there.
Thanks for sharing. Very cool stuff.

Okay, I am responsible for my actions. Boy am I !
Short version recap...
I chose an apartment // Really nice digs // they and I both said yes // Yikes // I'm stuck with Comcast.
I welcome useful advice from anyone who has found himself in my position before...
Should I call the Comcast agent's number which the leasing office sent me ?
Or would I be smarter to just sign up with the website ?
Will the toll free number give me a better deal ?

They (the powers that be) will not install Verizon Fios in my neighborhood, because Time Warner Cable will not allow it. Who the phuck is Time Warner Cable to "not allow" something.

You are in the same frame of mind as I am.
This can't be legal.
Thank you (really, thanks) for alerting me/us to the fact that multiple companies are doing this.

(We have COX. No cable company is perfect.)
When we moved to our last apartment, we called the local office to get hooked up, and wound up having to pay ($70 ?) for the "free self-install kit" -- dont ask.
So this time we called the number the rental office gave us, and the installer spent some time getting everything right, even a new cable box, all for free.
So, I suggest calling the number the leasing office gave you.
And cross your fingers.

There's just something in the air that smells totally wrong about this.

Yours does have the perfect name though, even if it bit oddly spelled.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
