Oh ok - that!
I was comparing rugby to another sport the English invented - cricket.
They do wear 'cushions' (or pads) in it.

That's a whole different thing
I mean Rugby and AF have at least some things in common

Yes. Our own world cup and a sport that we created (I think we created them all though).
Any ideas why India didn't take this one up, most of the other commonwealth teams play - even Canada and the US play this.

India has some rugby leagues. However, no other sport was commercialized as successfully as cricket.

A brilliant strategic move on the part of the British, that, getting first dibs on pub seating to watch the world cup by being eliminated in early rounds . . .

I'll simply pretend I meant all of whatever bunch you wish to include.
The same inevitable fate awaits them all.

More so if you code for VW.

Astronomy in the lounge I can live with, but why is it in the Insider newsletter?
It takes up precious space where IT related news could be...

I'm guessing, but there is probably one heck of a lot of IT used in modern Astronomy...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Sure, but that's not what most articles are about.
There's a lot of IT in production lines too, but I don't see articles about that

I subscribe to a production newsletter where 70%-80% of the content is IT related. So, what are you complaining about?

My daughter can attest to that. She has a doctorate in astronomy. Her thesis involved writing software for adaptive optics.

Given the crap that is sometimes posted in the newsletter, I'm glad of something a little more interesting. Perhaps if you'd care to go and find some IT related news, you could add it to the forum.
