WSUS tends to randomly fail. We've fixed that at our company by giving it it's own virtual sandbox on the HYPER-V Server, which seems to work well. Sometimes it still has it's failovers, but that is our own fault for using MS products.

This's been out since at least Friday afternoon; which probably means it's something more serious than a reboot needed faceplant.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

After poking them with a stick again this morning I finally got a response. The tier 1 tech thinks it's software center on my PC that's puked all over itself not something at their end; but escalated the ticket to someone more senior who hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Think of a sentence where the use of the word panoply doesn't come off as pretentious and contrived.

Could this be due to the fact that your statement lacks the full panoply of panoplieness?

From Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panoply[^]:
"Thus "panoply" refers to the full armour of a hoplite or heavy-armed soldier, i.e. the shield, breastplate, helmet and greaves, together with the sword and lance."
IMO it's not contrived, but is it pretentious?
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

We didn't have monopoly, so we played panoply, but, then we had a terrible argument about whether or not we both committed suicide after the last time we played, since that ended in a draw.

I tried, I really did. However all I could come up with was a panoply of contrived and pretentious sounding sentences from my cornucopia of best practise sentences.
