Jim Hendrix was an experience. Saw him live many moons ago.

musically, reminds me of Gotye and Kimbra's mini-art-song-opera "Somebody That I Used to Love:" [^] ...
imho, Kimbra is a first-class jazz/ballad singer, as well as able to sing like she does in the above.
relaxing ? i hypothesize that you and your lady friend ... and i ... have such different nervous systems (dna ?) we could be from different planets

Somewhere in 2016 you recommended Kimbra's Two-way street to me, which also made it into the SOTW

I'm channeling my inner child today:
Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday to me!
Can I open my presents?
I've been up since three!
(Please assume I got someone who can sing to perform that - woudln't want to scare anyone away.)

It can be proven statistically that people who have more birthdays live longer.

Yes, Logic dictates such.
More logic
You do not need a parachute to skydive.
You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Or to formalize it
jmaida's axiom: S=P+1
where S is the number of times you can skydive and P is the number of parachutes you have.

That assumes that a parachute is used only once.
A better formalism would be:
WP, NS are non-negative integers.
WP = number of working parachutes
NS = number of sky dives
NS = 0
do
NS = NS + 1
while (WP > 0)
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

Does that mean the presents do as well?

As you get older the presents get fewer because;
- Nobody knows what to get an old fart
- They figure you have everything already
- You're to old to enjoy stuff
Or in my case;
- That grouchy old man don't deserve nothing
- I don't want to deal with that old grouch
Have a great birthday man!
