Tom's Hardware "Skylake: Intel's Core i7-6700K And i5-6600K" August 5, 2015 [^] has extensive benchmarks.
I seem to see a bunch including one from AnandTech, and one on some kind of bench-marking: [^].
This article on Ars Technica, a rant about SkyLake offers no equivalent to the BroadWell Core i7 5775C, was interesting: [^].
You can find late-breaking info on Tom's Hardware: [^] ... quality may vary.
I'm interested in benchmarks only once every five years or so when I go to upgrade "

Yes but they're very broad and don't address gather performance. I did just now find an entry in Intels optimization manual, but it would still be better to do a field test, as it were.

After a couple of long nights going into the wee hours and feeling wrecked I finally finished a bunch of code, compiled, tweaked a couple of obvious errors then fired it up for the first time.
I now need to add images to the forums because this is how I feel: http://memegenerator.net/instance/60301643[^]
booyah.

Images would be great, but they would have to come from pre-approved stock pics. Otherwise, you would have to change the site name to "Bob's pr0n factory"

Bah, you've simply not tested enough.

Trying to work on my take over the world project right now...
Testing it, gazing in wonder at its beautiful behavior... (I'm a kind of narcissistic developer, I love to gaze at my finished work again and again and again...)
Anyhow, As I drag the mouse again and again on the selected area.... vshost32.exe keeps crashing! repetitively!!!!
But the program is fine!! Running it out of visual studio works fine! No runaway memory or CPU!!
But visual studio keep crashing! I can't debug my program anymore!
Visual Studio offer to attach a debugger.. But then it fails, a debugger is already attached!

I think you need to wipe the harddrive and reinstall Windows! (The old fashioned MS way!)

Eliminate vshost32.exe, uncheck "Enable the Visual Studio hosting process" in the Project. It offers no benefits and causes nothing but trouble.

woa... never realized (or I forgot) that you can do that!
What's the point of the VS Hosting process I now wonder!
Excellent tip anyhow!

Stake holders wanted some new code written and want to know how much it will cost.
I asked them if they want to include planning and design in the "cost" of the project.
They say they need to know how much development will cost.
I tell them that I need a set of requirements in order to estimate how long it will take, but that I don't do the cost thing.
They don't want to establish a set of requirements until they know how much it's going to cost them.
We've gone back and forth on this a few times now.
Out of frustration, I want to say "a beeeelion dollars", but I'm truly concerned that they'll cancel the project due to the exorbitant cost.
I'm afraid their pointy little heads will explode once we get into the time vs feature list trade-off phase of the design process.
This is the world of DoD project management.
I'm about to get all outlaw programmer on their collective asses.

I don't care about stake holders. It's the steak holders you need to suck up to...

Steak will kill you dead, with cancer. So, I have been told.

Yeah, well death needs a reason. Steaks or something else. I think I'll enjoy my steaks while I can. Anyway, who wants to live forever?
