SO - if one doesn't log in and wishes to find out domain pricing for acquisition and/or renewal - well the price list has been removed.
At least so I was informed by their customer service. It'll be back up in a week or so. They took it down while they update it.

We're having a gloriously balmy "winter" - NY City is predicted to have 70 F (ca. 21 C) by Thursday.
Yet - for the nostalgic amongst the holiday mobs, they still dwell upon the concept of a "White Christmas"*.
Well - fret thee not! We'll get it again, this year. The only difference is that it will be on account of the cherry blossoms.

you should try living in Australia ! there are people who do hot/baked dinners in the middle of the day, it would be interesting to know the proportions of those who do BBQ's at the beach, fish etc etc
(this being said, this Xmas might be a bit cool & damp thanks to some rain, at least here in Sydney)

Its an el nino year, nothing to do with 'climate change'.

That's how it works. If you don't believe then your safe. Yes. That's it. If you don't believe than your safe.

If its a long term trend why wasn't it 21 C last December, and December 2013?
Its an el nino year. Period.

Well - ya see, the reality, despite the ignorant and/or paid-for whines of some high-profile politicians is:
Global Warming: that would be observable from space as the entire earth warms a bit.
Climate Change: that is what you really see. The zeroth order effects can be greatly simplified as follows . . .
There is more energy in the atmosphere as a whole - this warms the seas a bit. The result is a manifestation of more violent weather. And more of it.
The Easter Pacific (Mexico got hit) recently had the most violent storm ever recorded in the region and (if I recall correctly) the third most violent storm ever record. Weather all over the world has been more than a bit uppity the last few years.
Now sure - you can note that some records that existed for scores of years as proof that such weather excursions happened before - and I always caution that weather is "like that" and you must be cautious about rash judgements.
But this time, I'm afraid, there's just far too much going on to pretend it's just normal climate deviations.
Remember . . . you're really alluding to natural forces and the deviation they induce . . . and we've added to the mix massive return of old carbon to the atmosphere and great reductions in forestation, to name a couple. Simply put, the scale of human abilities to affect the planet noticeably is significantly greater.
The real question you should ask - if you drop the political agenda's - is how could there not be a change in the global environment?
Short term solution - in my opinion - is nuclear power.

And we had plenty of change long before CO2, including plenty recently.
The fact is that mitigation is a better course of action because it counters any 'extreme' weather regardless of its cause.
