It is my New Year's Resolution* to overtake @OriginalGriff in CP points.
He's at 1,439,325 points.
I'm at 10,090 points.
Only 1,429,235 to go!
Game on, Man! Game on!

God bless you man!!

Game on! I like a man with ambition!
Have an upvote to get you on your way.
You're currently on page 122[^], so you should start by aiming to get to page 100 by mid Jan - that's not too bad, it's only about 2K points so it should be achievable. Then aim for 20K in total by around mid March, before ramping up into high gear.
Go for it - I'm cheering you on all the way!

Here's a challenge for you, griff. Create a new account here, leaving your current account in stasis. See how many months/years it takes for originalGriff2 to pass OriginalGriff

I couldn't possibly steal your idea - let's see how fast Nish2 moves first!

Well, given my recent activity levels, I'd have to live past a 100. And hope Chris doesn't get this site acquired by a company that discontinues the vanity score points.

You don't mean...
No, he couldn't...

Half the QA members wouldn't be able to see it - with MM in it it'll be at least 18 rated!

No problem, Disney would just turn him into Captain Haddock.
I'd watch that movie!

So, half of QA posters are high school kids?

High School? Don't you have to an IQ larger than your shoe size to go there?

Hmmmm, nobody seems to have caught on that I backdated this Resolution for calendar year 2015...

Elephant!
You're gonna have to get a move on then! You need to average about 500,000 points a day...
Not impossible, but you're gonna need a massive bag of sunflower seeds, 4 ounces of soft brown sugar, and a collapsable umbrella (green). Oh, and a new keyboard...

Easy-ish
Stage 1 - the simple bit - Stop him from earning any more points this year, sending him this should do the trick.[^]
Stage 2 - the hard bit - now you just have to earn 1.5 million points.

Sounds reasonable. You wouldn't want to set the bar too high...

1. Write 5 killer articles during 2016, each of which leads to about 100,000 downloads within about six months time, gets the 'Best Article of Month' award, and also gets a very high rating and popularity.
2. Answer about 1000 questions (correctly) during the year 2016.
Will take you closer, but how closer, I don't know.
Methinks a more realisable ambition is to achieve 1,439,325 points during your entire programming career.
