Um. Not just agist, but it makes us sound like whiny little toads.
OK, the "Wow! I can do this!" is right - but I still get those "YES! It Worked!" / "fist pump" moments (And I'll be 57 in February if anyone wants to send me large donations of money, bacon, and / or chocolate)
The rest of it? Sounds like a developer whose brain is set in concrete and has no flexibility at all.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

IMHO, that applies to the 80 percent who become damagers, aka managers.
The remaining 20 percent are alive and kicking, here on CP.

I'm older and right up until the current web stack I have been comfortable and have confidently moved through a number of languages and platforms. Then along came HTML5 and CSS and a plethora of Javascript frameworks and I got the "Oh not again" feeling.
Thankfully I'm old enough that I may be able to dodge the entire web development circus!

Yep, that was quick. I saw the thread, got a call from a client, returned back to CP.... and it was answered and winner was announced
A good one actually
And a good response time too. I It would have taken at lease half an hour for me to "research" the answer
