This may be the compelling reason for me to move to VS2015. (still using 2010) I suppose then that I can forget about the Android Studio I just installed last week. (and forget Java!) Great news!

Indeed!
IMHO, AStudio is orders of magnitude better than Eclipse, but VS (and C#) are orders of magnitude better than both and Java.
