Indeed, indeed. It's always disheartening to sea anemone of fun!

Warning : video may be traumatic to some people, no gore though.
The victim was jay walking, but that car was speeding big time. At least 2 x the speed limit for that street. Apparently, the driver was under-age as well.

Well that's gonna leave a mark.

Ok, not sure why you saw the need to post it here, did you know him?

It was all over India media sources the last 2 days, and that video was somehow quite impactful. Since I don't use Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, this is the closest thing I have to a social media presence, so I thought I'd post it here.

I suppose it happens everywhere, in Chicago, we have all sorts of videos (just google 'Laquan McDonald shooting'). Unfortunately, I'm so desensitized at this point that very little fazes me.

Yeah, I have seen multiple similar videos here, but this is my first time seeing something from India, did not even know they had CCTVs on streets these days.

Interestingly, that Indian CCTV footage seems to be of a far better quality than typical CCTV footage we get here where the resolution seems to be 100x80/4-bit color or something like that.

Agreed, it's an unexpectedly sharp image.

Probably because the typical footage is from an analog system that's been looping to the same VHS tape for the last 30 years.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

So basically, we just watched someone die. This is terrifying.
A somehow similar video made it to social media in France about one year ago, recorder from the helmet GoPro of a biker that hit a car which turned left without indicator. It is even more terrifying than the one above - to me - since the accident and the hit is from the dead's people point of view, so you're under the impression that it happens to you.

That's terrible. An innocent and promising life snuffed in an instant, thanks to a very bad decision (allowing the kid to drive). I hope the parents (or at least the adult who permitted the kid to drive) are held responsible. I have horrible feeling it's going to be a case of "money talks" and no charges will be levied.

The victim's sister shared info that no charges have been filed even after 2 days despite the CCTV evidence, so yeah, I guess you are right.

Shocking.. poor guy...People have zero traffic sense in India. No speed limit, no age limit ,no helmet, no seat belt. Even if you get caught you bribe police there and then and lot of people have a BIG ego problem. People have attitude that I got a shiny car so I am better than others in all respect. Unless society's thinking change towards road rules and safety nothing will stop all those accidents.
