If everyone agrees I think Manfred should be up tomorrow for his full solution?

I don't mind either way, just tell me about your decision.

What are the improper ones?

That is correct:
German Sun : Bild ( a trash newspaper )
den -> lair (mixed up) liar
Bil liar d (bild surrounds liar)
add Point s for south
Billiards
Bingo!

I tried for a German newspaper (UK "The Sun" equivalent), but Bild wasn't listed on wiki: List of newspapers in Germany - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[^] unless I scrolled down, and everybody knows there is never anything interesting after the first page!

If you use the full name "Bildzeitung" in Germany you will often get the answer:
"Bild is not a newspaper (Zeitung)".
This answer applies here too: You have used the wrong search term.

Movie Quote Of The Day
If you stayed on top of things, you'd understand that the traditional checks are not 100% fool-proof. This last test was designed by the head of nuclear science at Caltech, a Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre, along with Dr. Irving and Professor Griffin and the rest of the Wu Tang Clan, know that it is best when you have a baseline screen situation to achieve a pulsopular cataclysmic calibration or something we like to call the Shaq Attack.
Which movie?

It was not me.
I am not now, and never have been, a member of the Tu Tang Clan, nor have I been involved with pulsopular cataclysmic calibrations, or Shaq Attacks. As far as I am concerned, they are all what my mother warned me to stay away from: bad company.
I will admit to having been involved in a few explosive hardware episodes, but none that have caused (or threatened) mass destruction. Bouncing IC's off the ceiling doesn't count.

Yesterday my wife came across a Facebook quiz - which is the odd one out, from three choices.
The first question asked for the odd one from:
Albert Einstein
Stephen Hawking
John Nash
I gave my wife a choice:
John Nash - pure mathematician as opposed to astrophysicists OR the only one suffering a mental illness
Stephen Hawking - the only one still alive OR the only one without a Nobel Prize
Albert Einstein - the only Jew OR the only one who changed citizenship (five times!)
Who would you go for?
|
|
|
|
|
John Nash: only one who hasn't been on both The Simpsons and Star Trek TNG.

Now that is the answer that FB users would know about.
