Then hit their base with aluminium ammonium nitrate?

Thanks. However as aluminium ammonium sulphate mixed with water is highly corrosive it is not something I'm keen to apply to our cars.

You don't need gallons of it , I can't see it harming the car any more than a crow scratching and pecking about on the paintwork.
I remember putting it on the kids nails when they were little to stop them biting them. Just a tiny drop is all that's required.

Find out its true name[^], it'll have to do as you command and leave the wipers alone

Link fail.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Try a simple car cover.
It is thought it might be aggressive behaviour with the reflection of the window. So you could experiment with a simple sheet first.

Yes - covering the wipers should work. Some people say lifting the wipers from the windscreen also works. I have seen streets with all the parked cars wipers lifted. I always thought this was the work of pranksters but it may have been deliberate.

Also used to stop them sticking to the windscreen in bl**dy cold climates. Doesn't sound like Aussieland

Our problem is the sun and extremely hot weather which also adversely affects wiper blades and can make them stick to windscreen.

You are an evil being. Put yourself in the position of that poor bird. You are out of rubbers when you really need one!

I'd happily give it some rubbers to leave us alone.

Remove the windscreen - then you won't need wipers.

They're only destructive because they're very intelligent and very inquisitive. They'll open up your backpack just to play with whatever's inside
Amazing birds.

Rub 'em liberally with neat washing-up liquid, to mask the flavour that the birdie likes, and give them one that it won't like.
I dare say that the manufacturers add dickie-bird attractants during manufacture, to pay for their expensive holidays.

I've been thinking... (A dangerous thing for me to do.)
The best solution is to build a quad garage for your cars with enough room for a "man cave".
In the "man cave" install a bar, big screen TV, couch, pool table, posters of your favourite ride (Lambo or bimbo) and workshop.
There you go.
- $50 wiper blades now safe.
- crows sorted.
- problem solved.

I have always been a little jealous because you use AOMEI Backupper to create images, and AOMEI has the nifty capability to browse through an image for individual files and Macrium's Reflect, that I use, cannot do that (or so I thought).
Then yesterday the pawpaw hit the fan: I upgraded Herself's computer from 7 to 10 with a clean install in February, and forgot to save some very special fonts she had in 7. I always forget the stoopid fonts when I rebuild a machine. She needed her special fonts and she needed them NOW, and the only place they existed, was in a Win 7 image I happened to take just before the change to 10.
Then I thought of a possibility: What if Macrium's Reflect can browse for folders and files in an image, and I just haven't discovered it yet? I mean, just like Griff says about AOMEI? With trembling hands I fired up Reflect and there it was on the 'Restore' tab: A link called 'Browse Image'!
To cut a long story short, I quickly copied the entire Fonts folder in the image and she had all her fonts back. Phew! That was close! For a moment there the doors of hell were opening before me! I could smell the sulphur and see Lucifer's malicious grin!
I now believe there is little to choose between AOMEI and Reflect. Both are free and both can do all you and I will ever ask.
Get me coffee and no one gets hurt!
