I knew you would say that even without opening the post.

I'm not sure where I'd fall on that spectrum, really...
I love the theme of swords and sorcery (Just started playing pathfinder with some friends!) but I don't saturate myself in it. I'm not the type to read and reread Tolkien and memorize passages, or learn Sindarin for the fun of it.
I certainly don't hate it, but there are some things I wish were better (or written more to suit my tastes, perhaps,) specifically Game of Thrones. That may just be because I'm only consuming the HBO version and not the books, which I assume are better. Or rather were better, when they were still written first; hasn't Martin switched to writing for the show first? I digress.
So that leaves me leaning toward the 'Like' end of the spectrum, but not down in the deep-end of fanatical love.
If that suits your needs at all, I'd be happy to participate (though you've been a bit vague about what you need! )

I can do 1 - Lurve LotR, they're the books that got me into Fantasy.
I can do 2 - Detest LotR, they're amongst the most annoying and overrated films.
I can do 3 - I tried reading and watching GoT and just wasn't bothered either way.
And currently I have too little to do.

I used to be into it. LotR that is. Enjoyed movies such as a Knight's Tale. I could get into it again, but only for a good reason.
Mark_Wallace wrote: One who hates same, and/or wishes it were better (but not GoT soap-opera better)
I think it's been rehashed to death. Never could get into GoT. It's weird, just never happened. I'm a changed man now I reckon, or maybe I don't drink enough.

I can live without ever watching GoT. Silicon Valley I'll watch however.
Does playing stuff like Final Fantasy count? I used to be big into that. Not so much in my 30s. Been more interested drinking and women this decade of my life.

I don't think I'd fit the bill.
I certainly don't hate the stuff.
But I'm not a total aficionado, nor am I indifferent. I like scifi/fantasy.
As a kid I read the LoTR numerous times and I went through the majority of the books of both the fantasy and scifi departments at the library. But now I mostly read Pterry.

I forgot to mention, in the first few I sent out, that an underscore, in the manuscript world, means that the underscored words are to be intalicised.
Interestingly, this is why so many early comic-book stories had underscored words -- the real editors had been conscripted into the army, and the kids taken on as sub-editors and editors by publishing houses in the "cheap" end (i.e. pulps and comics) didn't know what the underscore meant (which is also why it stopped happening, relatively quickly).
So you've learned something today, which makes it a good day.

Yes, indeed. That was actually interesting to learn.

Oh, she knows - I call her "my little Hobbit" from time to time since the day I found her in the bathroom shaving her toes...

That's sad. I myself can't think of anything bad to say about my lovely wife.
(I've turned my camera on, so you can tell me if she's gone -- I don't want to risk looking over my shoulder)

There's no "email" link at the bottom of your messages.
I know it sounds like I'm being persnickety, but I can pass CP members as "peer review". If I give the MS to people I don't know personally who I can't (legally) classify that way, then the publisher can claim that they're not getting "first publication" rights, which can lead to all kinds of nastiness.
