I'm trying to debug some code in VS2015.
I've been working on this project for about two weeks and no troubles so far.
The application is pretty much done so I wanted to do some manual tests and just see how it goes.
Fire up the app (like I've done for the past two weeks) and... Nothing.
Just nothing.
Set a breakpoint and... Nothing.
Pause the application, it's past my breakpoint and just hanging.
Restart application, this time it does hit my breakpoint, and continues to hang again.
Restarted the computer, fired up the application, again it misses my breakpoint (WHY!?) and hangs.
It's hanging on trying to create a connection to RabbitMQ.
I'm not getting an Exception. I've tried setting timeouts on the connection object.
It just hangs.
And misses my breakpoints.
Building debug with code optimizations off.
What the hell Microsoft/Visual Studio/RabbitMQ

Check your static constructors?

Maybe your app has retreated to a "safe place", and you can no longer abuse it as a result.
Maybe global warming is real.
Maybe apps need to be registered with the government because you can't be trusted to own one yourself.
Maybe it knows that you're not aligned with the paradigm that "app lives matter".
Honestly, it could be ANYTHING!

is you code in version control?
if not, it should!
if yes, look for your latest changes, undo them all, it might help ...

It's an app in development, so it could be lots...
Although I DID update the RabbitMQ client package...
[Edit]
Went back to the previous version of the RabbitMQ client and it worked like a charm...
It was just a minor update too!

See... It's not always Microsoft fault! Sometimes it's RabbitMQ fault instead!

Sounds like you might've found it.
I would also have suggested that we're just 2 days past Patch Tuesday...wouldn't have been the first time an app got broken because the OS or a runtime got a new update.

If you are looking for a programming answer, then you should post it where it belongs, unless you are "purely" venting. I actually can't tell.

From the semiprofane subject I'm pretty sure this was a rant first and formost.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Sorry, I don't get what you are referring to here.

It's about the automatic, knee-jerk, nazi-istic jumping on of people who ask questions in the Lounge.
If Sander hadn't posted his message (which was != a programming question, anyway), then JSOP wouldn't have made a brilliant reply, and the guy who jumped on Sander wouldn't have had the chance to tell JSOP that it was a brilliant reply (which he did: "LMAO at this.").
In the UK, we call it "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

I'm not having a go at you; I just enjoy irony, so I had some fun with it.
