Anyone notice that Pokemon Go is spreading like the Black Plague? I tend to keep an eye on the GitHub trends, just to see if any interesting libraries or algorithms come to light, and now, well...
GitHub C# Projects trending monthly [^]
Ten of the top twenty-five C# GitHub projects are Pokemon bots... This is really killing the signal-to-noise ratio. I mean, it's pretty much jamming the signal... With raspberry jam... And only one man would DARE give me the raspberry... LONE STAR!
--Err, ok, sorry... Monday morning... Brain is in an odd state... Semi-obscure side-tracked references are likely to occur...
Anyway... I was really hoping this thing was just a fad, and would die out in a couple weeks. I mean, Ingress was never this popular (I actually played that one for a short time)... But then, I said the same thing about Facebook, so apparently I'm always wrong when it comes to fads.

Generally speaking, I've noticed that the stupider the fad, the longer it lasts.
I don't think P/Go is quite as stupid as Farcebook, but it's pretty close...

Which means that GitHub trends are useless, but probably Pokemon bot writing abilities will show on job description in the next few years...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Don't knock Pokemon Go. I love nothing more than wandering the back streets, pissed at 3 a.m. on sun morning catching Pokemon just to see my sons face when he wakes me up in the morning to see what I caught for him.

I've got some bad news for you...
Those things you were "catching"... Those weren't Pokemon... You should get tested.

Are you saying gonorrhea is not the name of a Pokemon?

I dunno... It does kind of sound like one, doesn't it?

Just don't shoot him. It will just make him mad.

Pokémon was popular when I was a kid about 18 years ago (and it taught me not to ride the bicycle inside ).
No way Pokémon is just a fad

The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

"No, from Canada."

The BBC wrote:
"Mike" also allegedly ran a money laundering network in China, Europe and the US.
"The network compromised email accounts of small to medium businesses around the world including in Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Romania, South Africa, Thailand and the United States," it said.
So... all those "I want to put money in your account" emails were genuine?

Shirley, he could have bribed his way out of this one.
"the debugger doesn't tell me anything because this code compiles just fine" - random QA comment
"Facebook is where you tell lies to your friends. Twitter is where you tell the truth to strangers." - chriselst

He tried, but they had to deposit money in his account first for bail... and please, don't call me Shirley.

There are no intelligence tests required to accept an inheritance, last time I checked. But this instance makes a good case for post-natal abortion...

You know, that was the one outlier I considered, but when I thought about it a bit more, I realized it was just deferring the stupidity. So their parent, or parent's parent, (or parent's parent's.....) was smart enough to make the money, but not smart enough to make sure their kid was smart enough not to squander it.

Yes it's kind of a programming question, give me codez urgent$$ please...
No seriously, no code needed just internet links!
I am working on some geometry primitive library at home... geometry occlusion, union, intersection, XOR...
Well started working would be more accurate.
I found some good resources already, but they are for polygons (i.e. point joined by straight lines).
My problem is my geometries would be delimited by linear, cubic and quadratic Bezier curve...
Before I (attempt to) generalise the Vatti algorithm on my own or such... Could anyone direct me to some nice geometry library (preferably in either C#, C, C++, Java, Objective-C) that do Shape geometry operation please?!
[EDIT] I found the proverbially scary library, the entire library, 26 classes all in one file!
Clipper download | SourceForge.net[^]
Anyway.. mm.. only 4718 lines for the whole library, not so bad after all!

Would a JavaScript library do? I recommend ProcessingJS.
