It has already weakened to "tropical Storm".

Yes, winds under 75 mph mean 'tropical storm'; it doesn't significantly reduce the impact though. It's like... would you rather be hit by a full size pickup or an SVU? Either way, it's gonna hurt.

Precisely. It will be dumping inches of rain as it moves through causing flooding in some areas for sure. Not as bad as a hurricane but can still do a lot of damage.

I'd rather be hit with a CSI episode[^].

Yeah - but the real mischief's from the storm surge on the coasts and major runoff causing rivers to overflow their banks inland. That is so damaging, that, in a nutshell, it's why no private insurance carrier underwrites flood insurance; it's all through FEMA.
Trees blow down but the damage is only a local mess - floods ravage hundreds - thousands - millions.

I'd agree, except after it runs up the coast it's heading back out to sea. The current predictions are for it to more-or-less stall south of my island. Waiting. Watching. Planning.
So - who else could it be targeting?

Technically, people can be replaced too... It's just that the replacement is never quite the same, and it takes a LOT longer.
Ok, joking aside... Got family south of Sarasota and a friend in Tampa... The latter was getting hit pretty hard last night, but south of Sarasota mostly dodged the bullet.

1) They cost too much and I earn too few.
2) They are so big to be useless as phones or tablets and too small to be real computers.

I have to disagree with this, I have been using Note since they started and love them and use them as my primary phone. I have big hands, so they are not "so big".... that's what she said .

I have small hands, to the point I find straining to use 5" screens, so that's where our differences lie in this case! Also I like my devices to be small, I never bough an MP4 player or the big MP3s with screens preferring microplayers like the Creative Zen.

This is part of why I still use my Zune daily. People crack jokes about it, but it's been dropped on hard wood and concrete floors more times than I care to count and it's still going strong and looking brand new. Best of all: no trace of any Apple software on any of my machines.
Meanwhile, over the years those who laugh at it have purchased numerous MP3 players because of dead batteries that will no longer keep a charge, shattered glass, simply stopped working, they got tired of it or they've moved to a phone or tablet that they still upgrade every few years.

I kept my Zen but now use a Samsung YP F3, which is slightly bigger due to an integrated belt clip and a mini scrolling screen. I used it because my Zen was a 2GB and this one is 4, almost full BTW.

I've owned a few of the cheapie MP3 players--not that I have any idea what yours was worth new--and I've found all of them to be total garbage. Difficult to navigate, battery that wouldn't keep a charge, poor quality (cracked screen after being drop a few inches from the ground, buttons wearing out and no longer responding), etc.
I bought my Zune when Microsoft finally gave up on them and local stores were dumping them; I got mine for $100, including charger and car adapter, and I've never looked back. In fact, I'm still underwhelmed by the alternatives (which are practically non-existent nowadays), and have bought another Zune from a local auction site, ready to go when this one dies - which it shows no sign of.

Mine is about 60$ new, navigation is more comfortable than other players but the small screen does what it can - I use it mainly on shuffle so it wasn't a parameter taken in consideration.
Battery keeps the charge, the screen is a major source of consumption even at the lowest settings but it recharges in very little time.
For the durability: I usually keep it in my bag under 0.5 l of water and my ~0.5 kg foodbag + fork, a jacknife and a heavy keichain. Otherwise it's in my pockets with a jackknife, the smartphone and car keys. It fell a lot of times. It's still perfect, only soe minor scratch on the screen.
Oh yes: I brought it on the beach a lot of time, under scorching sun and fine sand - it almost killed my ebook reader - but the player is intact. It's a bit bigger and heavier than how I'd like it but it looks it's secretly made of steel so I can't complain!

I considered getting one as my contract was up for renewal and I had price discounts from Swisscom[^]
I have been pissed with Crapapples Music app for a while, even enough to opt for a Spotify account.
The Note 7 seemed to big for me, thus I headed for a S7 Edge. Good decision, this was.
