That's how some of the developers where I work told me to develop. Luckily, I've managed to implement change.

Neurotech - The Elysian Symphony[^]
A new song from the new album of my #1 artist of 2016
I learned about Neurotech right here on CP in the weekly SOTW post (when the S was still Song) and now Neurotech is coming back to you (for the second time I think)
The track is only 17 minutes, but it's 17 minutes of awesomeness

Jarre meets Sirenia, I like that!
It does have both the synths and metal parts (putting An Elixer For Existence in my playlist).
I don't know those Vangelis songs, but I'm currently listening to the Direct album on Spotify. His soundtracks are awesome too.
I'll give Revolutions a listen too. I've listened to Equinoxe a lot in the past.

I'm just curious.
Chrome Apps / Extensions
Do you install Chrome apps / extensions? Often? Seldom? Never?
Do you see them as a security risk?
Have you had any great experiences with Chrome extensions? Any terrible ones?
I'm just curious about how often they are used.
Considering converting my C'YaPass app (see browser single page app[^]) to a Chrome extension and wondering if anyone would even install it or use it that way or if they'd rather get the native apps or use web browser version.
Chrome Extension Devs?
Have any of you developed any Chrome extensions?
If so, would you point me to them in the Chrome extension store (a link)?

I'm using Keepass; small standalone application that can be stored on USB, and run it with a bare-bones browser in a separate and limited desktop[^].

They don't get stored in a third party.
They are not stored anywhere.
They are generated every time.
The app generates a SHA256 hash of which is salted with the value from the geomtric drawing that only ou know. You can draw your password. That's why it works in a browser. There is no storage. It only stores the site/key in your localStorage. That's for the user's convenience of not having to type it again. And the user can delete it if she wants.
Nothing is ever sent across the web.
I totally understand your concern though.
Thanks for asking.

I only use 2, 3 extensions depending on how "wild" I am.
mostly use the ad-blocker one and a RSS news feeder; none are really security issue (AFAIK)
I'd rather be phishing!

I honestly didn't mean it that way. I know some people will feel that way though.
I've written and released the app as an Android app, iPhone/iPad app, HTML5 app and a win forms app.
I've actually also written it as a UWP also but haven't released it yet.
I'm just wondering if people use chrome extensions or if they are "old school" now.
Thanks.

I use a couple: uBlock ad remover, ChromeCast, Clack Overhead, Flash Block, Disable HTML5 autoplay.
They all do what it says on the tin!
Haven't written any.

That might be a really good one to get. I loathe sites that autoplay video and sound.
At times I've been on pages and couldn't find the video / sound to make it stop. Terrible.

I've got the uBlock and the Last.fm Scrobbler extensions.
For my web dev needs I've also got Page Ruler, MeasureIt and Window Resizer.
I only have one app installed, Postman (with Interceptor). It's great for doing GET and POST requests.

I was curious if Google had plans like that.
Thanks.
The site is almost malicious though. I clicked my back button to come back here after clicking the link and the site took me to another article. I clicked the back button again and it took me to another page on that site. Crazy.
Here's the same announcement via the Verge.
Google will end support for Chrome apps on Windows, Mac, and Linux - The Verge[^]

Sorry about the dodgy site. It was the first google hit with the terms I used. I always open them in new tabs, and close the tab when done, so I didn't notice it.

Is it two drunk astrologists, or "too drunk astrologist" fighting him/her-self?
Anyway it's uncertain, totally depends on the time and day.
