The WookieTab is dual boot - and it upgraded Win10 to AE last night (successfully, and with much improvement, I was surprised.)
But I just went to switch it from Windows to Android and it's decided to upgrade itself. So it's sitting there going

The general consensus seems to be that that message is wrong.
It should read, "Don't turn off our computer".

I updated mine it took best part of twenty four hours and left a windows.old folder over 20gb but it seems to have worked - I got the message you mentioned several times and it rebooted god knows how many times until it finished. I had to use cleanmgr to remove windows.old though.

Mine took 45 mins to an hour, booted twice I think - and made a massive difference to the system, particularly the touch-pad on the external KB. Before, it was a PITA: oversensitive, random f**king about with the display, useless to use. Now, it's like a lappie touch pad - not as good as a mouse, but very usable.
Which is yours? The Z8300 or the Z8350?
Where did you get it?

Don't know what you mean by Z8300 or the Z8350 - all I know is it's a Chuwi Hi10 10.1 - I bought it from a dealer on eBay who is based in Hayes in the UK £147.99 and so far I'm very pleased with it - I mainly run Android though

Ah! It's the processor: the Hi10 uses the Intel X5 Cherry Trail Z8300 which is the same as the Hi12 until the middle of last month, when they switched to the Z8350 version. It's a little faster, apparently: but not a massive amount!

Not a problem. Just suspend that virtual machine and start the other one. Oh, wait, you still dual boot?

It has the advantage that you get the whole machine to yourself.
Which means that you can directly compare Win10 and Android on the same hardware. And trust me, there is just no comparison as far as footprint and speed are concerned! Android is much, much smaller, and in 4GB of RAM it flies, where Win10 staggers a little.

I'm so happy I left the dual-multi-boot world behind years ago and I'm running everything from VMs these days.
A dual-booting tablet just seems like a bad idea to me. Not that virtualization on a tablet is an option (yet)...
I wonder if one could blow all that away and install Android x86 on this device...? Perhaps that's a way to get an Android tablet running a recent version of the OS on the cheap...

You have a 4” cube, and spray the outside with red paint.
You cut this big red cube into individual 1” cubes (the freshly exposed faces do not have any red paint on them).
All of these little cubes are placed into an urn, are thoroughly mixed, and one selected at random.
This chosen cube is then rolled like a die.
What is the probability that it lands with a red face up?
