One of the problems with increasing age is the number of faithful pets you have to let go.
My sympathies.

Knowing you're going to lose a pet in the near future (relative to their life) is a difficult experience to go through.

I'm not a big fan of cats, but I like cancer even less, and if cats bring (other peeps) happiness, fine - so, all the best for the hard decision & time ahead

It's a bugger.
It's also part of the commitment you make when you take on a pet: they can't make those decisions for themselves, so we have to decide when "enough is enough" and the quality of life is too poor for them. It's not an easy decision - I've had to make it too many times now, and only twice for the Big C - and I hope you won't have to make it for a good long time.
Give him a cuddle for me?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

We just had our oldest cat put down. She is buried in our backyard now. Sad times, but it is part of life. Keep your chin up.

I understand what you're going through. We have two cats, one of which we adopted when my wife's favorite aunt passed away. This is one of the nicest, friendliest cats we've ever had. Shortly after we got her three years ago, she developed a tumor which we had removed. A few months later she developed another, and a few months after that a third. By this time the poor cat had been through three major surgeries. We looked in to other treatment therapies, all of which were outrageously expensive. We asked the vet what her prognosis was, and she thought that if we let it go, she would probably survive less than a year.
That was two years ago. She has a number of large tumors now, and does not get around nearly as well as she used to. With all that in mind, however, she still jumps in our laps when we sit down. She still likes to be picked up and held. She purrs constantly.
I can see the time coming later this spring or summer when we will have to put her to sleep. I dread this, not only because I will miss her, but because it will tear my wife up.
Best wishes .

And if you do it, how?
I own a Samsung Galaxy S7 and smart switch doesn't make it...
Nothing gets synchronized between the phone and Microsoft Outlook 2016...
Any free option that works well?
I've seen MyPhoneExplorer, which seems that makes what I want, but I've never used it and wanted to ask about other options and what do people use here...
PS: I do have my contacts synchronized with Google to have a kind of backup and to be able to remove duplicates, which in Android seems to be a normal thing.
Thank you all!

Yes, I still remember fondly my last blackberry phone... it made two or three things, but it made them perfectly.
Call using shortcuts and recognizing my voice without internet.
Synchronizing data...
Everything perfectly...
But there were lots of other things that weren't available...
Anyway now I own a Samsung phone with android and this is a difficult thing to me...

I use Companionlink[^]/DejaOffice[^]. Works OK, but not 100%. Sometimes pain in butt to get phone talking to computer, and due to slight handling difference between dates, I've had birthdays show up a day prior several times. But works well enough other than that.

Google used to provide a Sync tool for outlook to their products, not sure if it is still active.
You could take a look at this as an option

I've seen what is all about...
Smart Switch works well when contacts are in the same phone. In my case time ago I put all the contacts in Google's hands... which is not a good option, and now Smart Switch can't see them.

This is a general question to all and I really am not asking for help per say, but really just understanding why you have chosen a specific set of tools used for creating the majority of the projects created and what led you to the path you're on. For instance, I would like to know what programming language you prefer for creating GUI main pages, if you use cross platform or maybe any language depending on your project? You will be targeting a Windows environment Ver.7 and beyond. Let's assume that it's for a local program, not web-based and the targeted user will be using it as a database collection program. I just want opinions, advice and the knowledge from experienced programmers. What is your language of choice and why? Thank you for taking your time to share. I am not trying to waste your time or annoy anyone, but my curiosity has been scratching the inside of my skull for some time now. Again, thank you and wish you all a Happy Easter!

C#, because it's an awesome language. And if I want a really professional looking UI, I use DevExpress (mainly because I know it better than other 3rd party UI frameworks.)
