Can I use a client to download Code Project discussions? Back in the old days, a newsgroup client could be used, but it seems now you always have to login to a browser. I would like to use a client if possible.
Not sure where to go to ask this question so I put it to the lounge!
Thanks in advance.

I'm using an RSS reader with this feed for the lounge. It only downloads the subject line and first message of each thread.
If something looks interesting and I want to view the rest of the thread, I can just click a link and CP loads in browser at the selected message. Works well enough for me.

Same here. It was a great introduction to sockets and multi-threading. Some day when I'm feeling particularly masochistic, I plan to re-write it using MASM or NASM.

I meant, I use somebody else's premade RSS reader (Thunderbird).

Yes, I know - that was perfectly clear. Sorry if my post was less so.

I never thought about using RSS. Where do I find information on how to get the RSS Feed? I guess I can just use my Outlook 2016 and get the RSS Feed right?

Top-right corner of the page should show the RSS logo. Alternatively, I had posted the link I use for the Lounge feed in my initial response. CP has additional feeds for other things, such as the latest articles.
[Edit]
And yes, I'm guessing that Outlook 2016 still has some place where you can provide RSS feed links. I've never used the feature, but I know it's definitely in older versions (I'm still on 2010).

So, we went to see the new Guardians of the galaxy today. Oh yes indeed. Funny, very weird and it satisfied my inner geek.

An amazing experience, I go to these type of films on my own as the wife tends to fall asleep during them. Sat down and a few minutes later a single young lady sat on one side of me and later another single female sat on the other side. It warmed my heart to see single females going to see such geeky films.
Mind you it was the 10 am show!

Mind you it was the 10 am show! And they were over 80 years old.

You missed the young - well comparatively, at a guess in their 30s, it was quite a surprise.

90 year olds call 80 year olds young.

I thought that was Nagy.
But in his case possibly any day of the week.
What is he up to nowaday btw.
Haven't seen him around for a while, did he manage to keep both jobs?
That would explain the absence, and the dip in Diageos revenue.

Known bug, already reported but not so dangerous.
It happens alway when you start a message with the @ + Nick. It doubles the last letter

Ah! That clears it up as I had no idea what he was smoking! It begs the typical developer question of 'why on earth would someone want to start a message with @?'
