Microsoft says it starts on 10th of May - Arstechnica is about 11th of May...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I thought that 5:30am UTC (1:30 Daylight Savings Time eastern us) sounded a bit odd.
It looks like everyone is reporting odd times on that timer.
I was just very curious about a key note at that time. Sounded very odd.

The timer changed for me now. It says 1 day 2 hours and some.
It's actually 2 hours from now -- as you've noted and the MS Build site shows that it happens at 8:30am PDT.
Thanks, I was curious about that timing.

The official site[^] says it starts 8 am Wednesday for me. Wired[^] adds that the keynote is at the start. I assume it's 8am PDT or 11 AM EDT, but couldn't immediately confirm it either way.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

That was the 1st of two links in my post.

Just under 12 hours here, so middle of the European night; about 5:30pm PDT.
|
|
|

The timer changed now.
Now it shows 1 day and 2 hours and some for me.
I think it is actually 2 hours from now according to MS Build site.
Thanks,

It showed 10 hours for me some time ago but has changed now to 1 day, 2.5 hours.
That might be correct for the Thursday keynote.
They should have asked here at QA before on how to implement a count down timer.

|
|

Maybe they asked - and that's why QA gone berserk...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Not just QA, the entire site is going loco.
I think the countdown timer is destroying the entire CP site.
It must be destroyed!!

It's now right, I think: 1 day, 2 hours.
The keynote is Wednesday @ 08:00 PDT, so that sounds about right.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I lived in Turkey in 1976, and it reminded me very much of 1956 in North Wales, where I went to school.

Please check your calendar... Today is the 10th of May, Wednesday... It is so even in other parts of Wales...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Yep, it looks correct now.
I was curious about a key note at 1:30am local time and 5:30am utc. Everyone is basically still asleep.

I have been informed that we are not streaming live until day 2 keynote which is 8:30AM PDT Thursday May 11.
