Even two seems like a prime example of not being odd.

Well, to tell the truth, I never even thought of it that way.

But after some considerable thought about odd numbers, reading between the lines, everything comes up even.

Hi all,
A work colleague has asked me if I know of any software that would help him check if any component on his PC is broken or not working fine...
I own a Lenovo and therefore I use the "Lenovo System Health" to do those checks.
Do you know of any free and working software that could help him knowing if something is going wrong?
Thank you all.

Some tools:
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool[^]: For RAM but runs for long time and might therefore also fail upon other hardware defects.
H2testw | heise Download[^] (German link but the software allows selection of English language): Test utility for drives (hard disks, USB drives/sticks, memory cards).
For hard disks search the web for SMART utilities (e.g. HDD Health).
GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility[^]: GPU info and test utility.
Don't forget the BIOS. The health page provides information on voltages, temperatures, and fan speed. You can also enable SMART failure detection (HDD SMART data are checked upon boot).

Memtest86 for ram, and prime95 in stress testing mode for Ram+Cpu+Cooling. A SMART code reader can see some indications of an HDD/SDD approaching failure; but a lot of failure modes for both are sudden death.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I use HWMonitor, mostly to view temps. When they start getting over 175F, like they are now, it's time for a good cleaning.

Prime95 for CPU, Furmark for GPU, Windows' own memory test for RAM.

For a second I thought you guys were dragging politics into the lounge. But what's so terrible about light coach horses?[^]
The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

Wow ! [^]. Top two entries in the 'Scratch category from Thailand. I'm afraid to ask what the 'scratch' category requirements are: might be mega-doses of Red Bull, certified alien abduction ?

My web site logs errors and sends an email message describing the problem in somewhat obscure language.
I am occasionally receiving messages typified by that below.
Is this the type of message one might receive if someone was attempting to hack into the web site?

It is just an error-message. But to answer the question, yes, could be proof of Russian hackers.
I'd assume you verify the query-strings' correctness before doing something with it?

Thanks for your response. Yes, the query string works fine. The database is accessed through entity framework and upon investigation I've seen no evidence that the code has been tampered with or the database compromised. It's just that I keep getting messages like or similar to this. My site doesn't get a lot of attention, I'm about the only one using it other than that suggested by these error messages

Most error-messages indicate an error, not a hacker. If you want to know what is causing it, then check your connection-logs. Probably some bot trying to index your website.
