I do not like the idea of an OS that I cannot trust, so I personally do not have any Win10. I like it in the enterprise though - I would not want to miss the integrated debugging techniques, nor the tools like Sql Management Studio.

This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

You'll "miss" rebooting

Yes, I will miss that. Just as much as I will miss being told not to turn off the notebook because it's in the middle of important updates, of course always when I need that thing for an important appointment. Or like discovering that something your code has been depending on for years will disappear with the next one and only Windows version and also not get the imporovements they have been promising for years. Or like discovering that Mickeysoft in their wisdom have decided to secretly upgrade a system that you had set up exactly like a customer's. Or...
Let's just stop here. Looks like I have been preparing for this for years. I have been sitting on packed bags already and now a bad drive and some fanlemmings are giving me a sendoff.

Go virtual my son. "don't turn off your machine".... OK, suspend. Gotcha.
Arguing with a woman is like reading the Software License Agreement. In the end, you ignore everything and click "I agree".

You'll miss it, then a few months later you'll try going back for some reason, and soon realise why you left.
Just t'other day was asked by a friend to do some checking on their pc, turned out it was running xp, and what a POS xp is!
Yet seems not that many years ago I myself was dragged kicking and screaming from xp to 7 (no choice at the time, needed more from vs.) - at that time never wanted to leave, these days wild horses couldn't drag me back. (tho may help - temporarily)

If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

Calling names again?
But why? First you start sobbing when I say that Mickeysoft sucks and now you start crying when I find something that does not suck. Now make up your mind.

@petepjksolutionscomm
No CCC yesterday, no CCC today ... do you want to do it tomorrow, or does this need a reboot?

Maybe we need a hard reboot

That's a nice UPDATE statement you've got there...
Would be a shame if it were to be executed...
Without a WHERE clause
Nothing serious, but still a PITA.
I was about to delete that statement, but hit F5 instead of backspace

Argh! NOOOOO! ROLLBACK! Rollback! rollback, please...

Been there, done that. Nothing quite as unnerving as seeing 847 rows affected when you only expected 1. Fortunately it was something like adding a quantity of 5 to an existing value, so I could just reverse it.

Whenever doing insert\update\delete I always write the WHERE clause first
|
|
|
|
|
INSERT ... WHERE ...
Interesting.
Do you get a lot of success with that?

Interesting, I always write my insert/update/delete statements with a WHERE 1=0 clause first, so even if I have a moment of sheer stupid and run it, chances are less likely it will work. After that, I add AND then the actual clause.
Trying to get people around here to wrap their insert/update/deletes in a rollback/commit block is like pulling teeth. Seriously, what do you expect the change to be? If it doesn't match that something went wrong.

I did, but I wanted to change the UPDATE Table... to SELECT * FROM TABLE... So I highlighted the query without the WHERE clause and wanted to delete it... With F5
