I have just used Edge in earnest on the WookieTab - I thought I'd give it a try - and ... decided it's still useless and installed Chrome.

Microsoft's strength has never been high technical acumen. Their strength has always been and will always be putting stuff together the rest of the industry does first and packaging it to businesses and consumers. This will never change. And it apparently works since most people aren't really technical anyway.

I tried using Edge and stopped because of compatibility reasons. It won't work with a very simple, twenty year-old web page so I bagged it.

two (clenched teeth) bios flashings later ... as Joan Murt said, and others agreed, Lenovo's software for managing driver updates is excellent.
hi-res screen really makes a difference in text clarity ! it also means that using the recommended 3840x2160 resolution results in the loss of WYSIWYG fidelity between Form appearance in the Visual Studio designer and what results when you run your app. yep, i'm reading up [^] on the hi-dpi additional settings, but, so far, there are no combinations of config and manifest mods, setting the Form's scaling and auto-size properties that are really acceptable.
so far installing my key apps, and syncing up to GDrive, DropBox
OneDrive, and Zoolz going great. beast auto-installed a driver for Logitech wireless mouse in a snap.
the only real problem is the back-lit keys (color is fixed at ominous red): at the brightest of the three levels they are very hard to read ... the keycaps are surrounded by bright light, but the letters are not translucent ... the visual gestalt is like being in a Dario Argento giallo horror flick (which gamers get off on, I assume) this will pass, since I will be using an external keyboard where i can touch-type. the keys on the Dell 3570 are much easier to type with.
of course i hacked away a lot of Win 10 stuff i'll never use, and removed some Lenovo stuff ... pleasantly surprised by how little bloatware there was.
wading through the swamp of Win 10 settings and turning off all kinds of monitoring and settings took a while. further tweakings of Win 10 using Sergey T.'s excellent WinAero Tweaker (free) [^] 15 minutes, or so.
yeah, all this took a day, but, compared to installation/upgrade/migration nightmares of years past, this was easy street.

No PDF reader or zip utility (7Zip) or photo editing tool (PhotoFiltre)?
I bought FileLocator Pro (Agent Ransack) after so many years. In addition to this, I find Bulk Rename Utility extremely useful.

Here I am, visiting Germany. In the town of Sachsenheim, I see a sign. Metzgerei. Metzger: Hacker.
PS. On the way to Stuttgart through some country roads, I see a building with the name Trumpf on top!

Well ... sort of.
It has Win10 on board - which means it's downloading another 4GB update1 - but no Android.
And there is a good chance that installing Android may delete the Windows partition, I just read.
Gawd that was a PITA - looks like Partition Manager partly deleted the disk instead of fully removing it, possibly because it's eMMC and maybe it doesn't know what to do with it. If you need to do this, create a Windows recovery disk and delete all the partitions on the tablet before you try and run the official image installer: it doesn't like existing partitions so I ended up using DISKPART "clear all" which does a security wipe of the internals. Then the official image installer worked fine.
1: Hopefully, that's to Creators Update, not Anniversary edition ...

I'm in the dark about this one!
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Before some weeks/months I asked wheter it is ok to shutdown an unsecurded Network.
A lot of respones told me, I'm wrong to do it...
This Network came up imediatelly again after I "shutdown" it.
Seriously: Is it really wrong to shut it down, and this time in a way that they can not bring it back easely?
I mean I take care that my children are safe (as good as possible) to Access the inet in a controlled way, but all my care is worthless if some stupids in the neighborhood publishes a unsecured Network (unsecured means in this case also the user/Password are the factory Settings) and so e.g. my son can do with this Access whatever he likes...?
Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

1) Buy a throwaway phone.
2) Buy a throwaway car.
3) Park outside his house and use his network to download info on joining ISIS.
4) Drive away and wait for his computer equipment to be confiscated ... once you have thrown away the evidence.

Can you make it a bit more easy for me?
Does it means Overall: Close it is ok? I know first I Need to check it with ISIS, but that is the easy part
Thanks
[Edit]
1) Buy a throwaway phone.
I have one of this. Just tried it. 20 meters at the Moment,
2) Buy a throwaway car.
I have one of this. 0 Meters at the Moment, this f*****g Benz is too heavy.
3) Park outside his house and use his network to download info on joining ISIS.
The net is in my house, no needing of a parking lot.
4) Drive away and wait for his computer equipment to be confiscated ... once you have thrown away the evidence.
I'm waiting ....

You almost certainly can't - legally - close it. In the UK that's a specific offence under the Computer Misuse Act, and can earn you jail time. Switzerland is probably the same, if not more severe about such things.
I'd suggest talking to him and asking nicely if he would mind securing it because of the possible problems with kids (and the repercussions if someone does start downloading stuff they shouldn't via his connection). He may be reasonable.
If you aren't sure where he lives, the WiFi Analyser Android app gives you a signal strength meter you can use to "home in" on the physical location.
