Facebook shutdowns its AI
Facebook Shut Down AI After It Invented Its Own Language[^]
Language looks like this
Quote: In one exchange revealed by Facebook to Fast Co. Design, two negotiating bots—Bob and Alice—started using their own language to complete a conversation.
“I can i i everything else,” Bob said.
“Balls have zero to me to me to me to me to me to me to me to me to,” Alice responded.
The rest of the exchange formed variations of these sentences in the newly-forged dialect, even though the AIs were programmed to use English.

|
|

|
Bob was trying to pick up Alice, and she was having none of it.

Until AI developed their own programming language(or code directly 0s and 1s) to rewrite their own subroutine, I'm not worried.

Dear Colleagues,
Eventually, I've got one more question for you: Do I really contribute articles containing a harmful spam to the CodeProject's web site, don't I ?! Confused |
Recently, I've posted an article introducing the Windows Vista/7 sidebar gadget intended to load and render the articles-specific data from the CodeProject's main web page.
*ALSO*, some time ago, I've previously posted a message with my question if development and using of such web applications is not itself harmful and dangerous to the CodeProject's web site. Finally, as the respond, I've been suggested to complete this gadget's development and compose an article being presently contributed to the CodeProject.
An hour ago, I've already posted a message with a similar subject under the site bugs and suggestion forum, *BUT*, this post was marked as spam as well under no reason ?! Confused |
Thanks a lot for reading this message.
I'm sorry for cloning this message in more than one forum, *BUT* I would kindly appreciate if it would also be available in the general discussion community forum which posts are shown up right in the CodeProject's main page.

I have seen that happen serveral times yesterday. There probably has been some change in the code that makes the side site a little too paranoid. Let's just pretend not to have noticed it.

Thanks kindly for your reply, but what do you actually mean: "There probably has been some change in the code that makes the side a little too paranoid" ??

If your message is not spam then it will be flagged by one of the moderators when they have time to review it. There really is no need for you to get so upset every time something like this happens.

Thanks, Richard. The message has already been unflagged. Sorry for bothering the community with my question, which actually was not needed to post it.

Not upset - just interested. I just had a message flagged as spam. It's not like I'm a newbie here, and it's not like I've got a very low rep score, so why would CP assume that my message was spam?
Also, it's never happened before despite me being here for 13 years, so surely it must be something new?

Yes it is something new; all discussed (and explained by Chris) in Bugs & Sugs.
You may not be aware but the number of Spam messages continues to increase and it is an ongoing battle to get rid of them, and their authors. The CodeProject team have to work pretty hard as it is, without these trolls and idiots adding to their workload. So if the spam filter is a bit more aggressive than previously it is just another attempt to keep the site clean for the rest of us.

That's cool, I've just missed it...

AAAND It happened again. It appears that if I post a message, it's ok, but if I edit it directly after (adding more text or correcting spelling errors), it is flagged as spam...
Surely I'm allowed to correct my speeling errors?

I saw that you had commented that post with a smilie, so I assumed that he had posted it himself as a joke... Hence why I removed the comment you just cited.
As for real lives: Ain't nobody working with computers that have real lifes, is there?

You have 11 articles, multiple awards and you have been here more than 2 years. Are you ignorant of the ongoing battle CP has with spam and plagiarism?
Give the poor bastards who do the moderation a break, wait a couple of days before jumping up and down if your article doesn't instantly get published.

Is this happening when you post messages or when you edit messages after posting, or both?
We're trying to track down why this is happening. It shouldn't be.

I'm sorry, but probably you have misunderstood.
My problem actually was that multiple blank articles templates were occasionally added to my profile. Presently, I'm experiencing no issues with forum messages that I have posted. Indeed, the only one message posted yesterday was temporarily flagged as spam, but gradually it was approved to be posted and I normally have got no problems with posting forum messages at this time.
Chris, thanks for your reply and care to track down this problem, but, it's a slightly different case.
