I once had a boss who at the end of nearly every working day opened a bottle of wine and starting passing round glasses ...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Personally, I'd rather socialise with my choice of friends, and not the Boss' choice.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

It all sounds a cheap ploy to get the employees to talk shop amongst each other - and on a Sunday on top of that.

I worked at a small company that had a paid lunch every two weeks. It was easier for the bosses to pass out paychecks that way.

paychecks? Surely today it's all automagical direct debitization?
But I do remember the days of getting an envelope with real cash inside, definitely gave a more rewarding and personalised feeling - after that it was off to the pub.
Also every Friday lunch time it was off to the pub [right across the road] for the weekly meeting - first rule of that meeting: no shop talk, second rule: no going back to the office until Monday ... after all would not be good to be in the office with alcohol breath. (Years on I still can't concentrate on work after midday on a Friday,)
signature upgrading ... please wait.

Brilliant? Americans have severe problems with all kind of things (like metric units) and always assume that the rest of the world has them as well.

You could have just stopped there.

Errr... the entire world deals with time zones and a good portion of the Western world deals with some form of daylight savings.
But you just go ahead and feel smug if it lets you sleep at night.

I think that the PC term is "issues".
we wouldn't want to be non-PC, now, would we?

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

It's not time zones, it's the damn daylight saving time changes.

Received it yesterday after discussing an issue with time zones related to capturing values from multiple sites across multiple time zones.
The server with the data does not observe daylight saving time, but many other servers do, so.. we needed to resolve an issue with data aggregation across time periods.
The project manager forwarded the link after the meeting with the comment, "Seems appropriate"

Oceanlab - Sirens of the sea (Above & Beyonds Original Mix)[^]
This weeks sound is the same as last weeks sound, except that it's a different mix which basically makes it a completely different sound
Last week was all relaxed and chill out vocal trance while this week's sound is more club and deep house.
Yet, same lyrics and melody

I listen a lot to Ori Uplift on Youtube. Helps me focus.
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
