Thanks Kent. The two above profiles who got prizes are almost empty, where can I find their entry/article ? I think I am completely missing the point here.

It's a competition to find a specific answer, not a competition for article writing.

I am still lost, which of the 3 challenges[^] is this ? And where are the entries ?

This is challenge number 1 - Build an Arduino LED Binary Counter. The details are on the Overview page. You have to find the secret code and enter the result in the Code Entry page. Those who successfully complete challenge 1 are eligible to enter the random draw for spot prizes.
Challenges 2 and 3 are article writing challenges and those articles/ entries can be found under the Entries tab. Hope this clarifies.

You really can't keep changing the rules after you've published them.

They're spot prizes. The whole point is they are meant to be a little random.

The spot prizes are Arduino starter kits? I thought they were going to be the Pis?

The spot prize is a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ starter kit.
