Hey all!
after a 2 years hiatus doing almost nothing (health issues ) I am back on track to take over the world in my spare time!
I am using my custom serializer to save all my documents quite a bit and its working great!
(BTW I made a v2 which is... 2 times slower... but has much cleaner code and a few more functionality and bug fixes)
at any rate I thought, hey, I could make an article about it to promote it!
but I am not sure how to make that interesting...
I mean I could explain the unit test, but this is kind of boring....
Any format idea I could use to talk about it?
additional there is my own DI container and some fast reflection utilities in it as well ...

Just think about how you - as a user - would like to read it.
What is it? What does it do for you? How simple is it for you to use?
What makes it better than the alternatives?
What's the storage format? Is it as open and flexible as XML or JSON? Is it human readable? (This can be an advantage and a disadvantage!) Does it include encryption?
How do I use it? How does it work?
Easyriders (the US custom bike magazine from the 70's and 80's) used to say "if you're not telling it to the guys in the bar, you're telling it wrong". You probably don't need to go that far (or include pictures of naked women wrapped around your computer) but making it readable is important here: too dry and technical and nobody will read it except the moderators. Of course, too light and folksy and nobody will read it either ...

Wow, that took me back My older brother used to get Easyriders and I used to sneak into his room to look at it.
For the articles. Of course.

The articles were the only reason anyone bought it, I'm sure. And SuperBike (UK). And a certain rabbit based US mag the name of which temporarily escapes me ...

mmm.. you are giving me some ideas!

The DI and fast reflection sound interesting!
Of course it needs to include blockchain and AI in a mobile format to be truly interesting and relevant

I'd suggest doing it as a non-sequential series of angry tweets.
That seems to be de rigueur, these days.

Hi, Glad to hear your back in the saddle !
I'd enjoy more of your writing on the serializer.

Nice clue!
As an aside, I remain to be convinced that "Yorkshire tea" is actually grown in Yorkshire.

I might do a WebSite for my home pet project soon...
I am going to use ASP .NET Core for the dynamic part and will need a database and some disk storage (for user's upload and custom web page content)
Any hosting suggestion?
I am wondering about Azure, might be good as a learning experience, but might be overpriced for my hobby needs...
Though I did find it can do quite a lot for free!
Discount ASP seems good ..
Any other suggestion and / or recommendations?

I really like http://SmarterASP.Net. Moved to it from GoDaddy and have had very good experiences.
It is very cheap and you can host multiple domains, etc. All the .NET features you are looking for including .NET Core 2.x and actually some decent support.
If you want you can use my affiliate link to get there : SmarterASP.net - Unlimited ASP.NET Web Hosting[^]

Also, I there is a 60 day free trial with no credit card or payment method required.
If after the 60 days you want to keep it you can sign up. Very nice for insuring it supports what you want.

That's the best pricing combos I've seen. I'll have to take a closer look for the non-hobby sites I run.
