Indeed, some of the the short CCC you guys are posting lately have multiple answers in my opinion. Walter Botts aka "Uncle Sam" was a Hoosier from Indiana.

Beresheet failed to land due to main engine failure. I feel sorry for all the people who put their heart and soul into this project, I hope they can find some satisfaction in the things that they did accomplish.

I was watching the landing with my family. When we realised the Beresheet had crashed, my younger daughter burst into tears. I felt like doing so, myself.
I realised that something had gone wrong when the acceleration suddenly dropped from 2.1 meters/sec^2 to 0.6, and the vertical speed started to climb. A "percussive landing" at 1000 meters/sec (2250 mph) certainly wasn't survivable.

To the point where I've been accused of "having eyes like a s**t-house rat" before; and it's true - I do notice things and have always assumed it is part of being a good developer.
But ... I've been driving cars for 40+ years and never, ever, noticed that there is a little arrow beside the fuel gauge which tells you which side the filler cap is on. I saw this on the internet, so I just checked. I've had the car for over two years, drive it most days. glance at the fuel gauge probably daily. Certainly weekly. Had I ever, once noticed the little arrow? Nope.
But it's there, and yes, the filler is on that side ... have you ever noticed?
Go and check if you haven't already.

Yup, I've been aware of them for years. Comes in handy when gassing up borrowed / rented vehicles.
The Beer Prayer - Our lager, which art in barrels, hallowed be thy drink. Thy will be drunk, I will be drunk, at home as it is in the tavern. Give us this day our foamy head, and forgive us our spillage as we forgive those who spill against us. And lead us not to incarceration, but deliver us from hangovers. For thine is the beer, the bitter and the lager, for ever and ever. Barmen.

I have been driving for 28 years and didn't know this either until a couple of years ago when I saw one of those useful car fact videos on youtube.

In the grand scheme of things, it's a tiny "nice touch" type of thing. People miss "bigger" features. True story:
My dad installs remote car starters on the side (he's retired after 40+ years as an auto mechanic). A friend of his wanted to get one installed in his car. He brought it in, my dad took a look at his keyfob...and had to tell him he's already got one. Held down a button for a second or two, and sure enough, the car started. The guy had owned the car for over 3 years (and often went outside on cold mornings to start it up) and never realized he had a remote starter.

My daughter pointed it out to me when she bought a car a couple of years ago.

Only found out about that myself not so long ago.
I was selling my old car that I'd had for about 18 years. A guy was looking it over and pulled out a cup holder from a little slot. I thought to myself, that would have been useful.
