Yes I agree, but isn't it interesting how the perception of things changes when you don't fully understand how it works... I wonder how many things I don't know how they work and do similar.

Not exactly accurate. It has my company's IP address and server location completely wrong, and the second highest access coming from Sri Lanka, which is not remotely close.

Well my trusty Surface Pro 3 developed a screen malady, so I went to the Microsoft store and left with a new Surface Pro 6. It's about the same size as the 3m, but mine has more zCPU and memory. The screen resultion defaults to 2736 x 1824, Wow!

See, the people at Microsoft are not evil after all, they do a lot of charity

I neversaid they were evil, but note that I had to pay regular price for the Surface Pro 6 since my Pro 3 had an unresponsive touch screen theyt gave me no credit for it. So I ended up with the old Pro 3 which works fine with the moiuse and the Pro 6 that is a fantastic toiy I'm using for some serious development weork.

I can't say from experience yet, but it's supposed to be amazing. One customer told me they routinely get 16 hours out of a full charge, but I haven'rt run mine down yet.

I suspect the SP3 was rather elderly? I can just imagine the sales process, what 5 minutes?

Funny you should mention it. Last night I was dealing with a piece of code that would not submit...change this, change that and the same wrong results kept coming back. Even worse, setting a breakpoint showed one set of values but the result was still wrong...over and over, still wrong ...and then I woke up! I was so annoyed that I had to move to the couch and put on the early morning fake news in order to go back to sleep.

I definitely have dreams that are not about code, but are in code-like patterns, i.e. I can feel I'm moving around through some sort of decision space and entering this bit and coming back and going into that bit, maybe getting stuck in a loop in this other bit. It happens a lot.

I dreamed I married Bjork. She made me wear a plastic bunny suit while she danced around naked, throwing poisonous tree frogs at me. I think it was a metaphor for violence against forest ferns.

Did you wake up and wonder if androids dream of electric sheep?

No, sorry, that is something I never wondered about.
Instead, what I would really want to know is, you know that guy in Disneyland dressed up a big Mickey? When you take a picture of him with all your related, does the guy inside the Mickey smile, too?
