I think @musefan is technically correct, and it's probably mine which will put @0x01AA out of his misery - assuming the answer is what we all think it is?

Sorry to bother you again, but I'm more and more interesting in this stuff. I think it is a good way to become more familary with the English Language.
Would the following be to abstract?
CCC: She does it to him because her threshold is low. (4)(5)
Answer: 'held short', anagram of 'threshold'
Thank you very much in advance

0x01AA wrote: Would the following be too abstract?
I think so: "held short" is not a phrase I'm familiar with, and "is low" is not a "normal" anagram indicator.
I tend to start with the answer, and work from there.
So "THRESHOLD" ... hmmm, that's an anagram of THE LORDS H, so perhaps I'd be looking at "something something the Lord's Hospital" maybe, and trying to find a definition of "THRESHOLD" with nine letters to throw people off the anagram scent?
Remember that there are online Thesauri like Thesaurus.com[^] and Oxford Dictionaries[^] which are great for synonyms.
