Are you sure you are looking at a monitor and not her ant farm? In that case it could be Geoffrey MCLVXIII

Visual Studio 2017 is now nagging me to update to 2019 and 2019 core 3.0 isn't even released yet. (winforms designer is broke last time i checked)
First the start of christmas season gets dragged to practically july by the retail folks and now this.
Everyone's in such a rush. GOTTA GET THERE BEFORE THE DOORS OPEN ZOMG.
Visual studio 2017 works for me just fine until you actually RELEASE the next version, MS.
Your prerelease installs never upgrade properly to the releases anyway, so putting them on your machine just hoses it for down the road

hopefully the winforms designer works by then. winforms is kinda nonsense without it - may as well use XAML

it's funny (not really).
We tried upgrading to VS2019 (C++/MFC) last week and it was the first time that we needed to revert back because of a C++ compiler bug.

see, someone else just said it was released, and technically they're right, but it's still not done.
like that. or the fact that core 3.0 winforms doesn't work in the designer yet last i heard.

VS2k8 was mine. It was solid, and ran on anything. The C++ compiler wasn't bad either. MS is usually hit and miss about that last bit.

For what it's worth, our primary development tool is VS2008. Three years ago we had an abortive attempt at updating to VS2015.

VS2k8 was solid. I used it for years.
Edit: I *still* use it for VST development

Install a pre-release version?
With ms products, it's best to wait until at least SP2.
