Are you sure that you know your port from your starboard, Griff?

Yes, yesterday was POMANDER, today is POTPOURRI - so "scented / smelly things" is the theme (to avoid MM's likely solutions for a "smelly balls" theme...)

At the end of the meal ask your neighbour (or wife even), "Darling, is there any red port left?". Yes, I do know you are TT.

Port and left have the same number of letters.
I have remembered that since I was told it as a kid. Weird how some things stick in your head.

mine come from a truck so they aren't as fancy but the basic idea is there. they are incredibly delicious.
We have about 20 taco trucks per square mile here. =D

Food trucks rock! My niece lives in SF and is surrounded by food trucks at work. Wot a life...
Although I shouldn't complain - Toronto is a Mecca for food. I'm just lazy and keep absurd timings so am not motivated to cook or procure edibles at a reasonable hour. My daily diet is a cookie and 4 coffees, followed by dinner at 11:30pm.

only 4 coffees? amateur!
honestly, if i had one of those businesses, i'd run it from an icecream truck, and roll around neighborhoods blaring banda and watching all the *adults* chase after me.

I live in California and there tons of taco places around here. Sadly, the number that are really, really good is rather small. I love tacos and I am rather picky about them. I like both the Mexican style and American style tacos but only if they done right. Really good American style (hard shell) tacos are exceptionally difficult to find but I have managed to. Unfortunately they are a two-hour drive away but we go there at least once a month.
I try to have tacos twice per week. Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to have them four times that one week. It was terrific!
I like a blasting hot salsa with tacos, preferably habanero based. Really good places make their own salsa but many don't. When they don't I bring my own. My current favorite is Trader Joe's Extra-Hot salsa made from ghost peppers and habaneros. It is really, really good.

i don't bother with american ones, and i agree with you about the trucks, you have to find the right one. It's part of the adventure.
