I don't think so - at some point we have to accept a bit of humor and good-natured prodding.
Indeed, keeping real politics and religion out of the lounge, and KSS, &etc. is sensible and the rule-of-law, but aside from the joke-icon on my post it just picks up on the poster's stuff, running with them - as he did with my post.
Admittedly, this will be a fine line to dance about, but remember: context is everything - and laughter probably makes prolonging one's life actually worthwhile.

Nah, we do not need a soapbox. All we need for one successful Brexit are the following things:
1 moon
1 moonbase manned with as many Brits as you can fit in
All our nuclear waste
Throw everything together on the moon and the rest will be unavoidable[^].

well, they do say 'preview,' and, it is a separate download (see SuperLloyd's post here [^] for more detail).
and, 'preview' gets you:
a design experience which cannot recognize a high-dpi screen no matter the AutoScaleMode setting.
long periods when VS stalls
inability to select and resize Controls on a Form, or the Form itself: that may be related to the high-dpi screen problem
butt-ugly Form Windows that at run-time look nothing like the design-time view
i guess 'preview' means 'not usable now' ... at least, for me

Well.. the fact that they stressed it was not ready meant.. that it was not ready.. unfortunate!
I wonder how well and good it will be in a few month though.. Be sure to let us know!

If you went to a free movie preview, and all you saw on screen was either film-grain, or random images, would you stay for the show ?

Did you just call me a hypocrite? Where is the soapbox when I need it for once?
Like it or not, but I have my plan. I always do and this time there is no room for Mickeysoft in it. And I'm also old enough to know that the first victim at enemy contact is the plan. Younger me would first have burned all bridges and then wasted a thought about the consequences.

Hi All,
My Mum got a phone call yesterday regarding her eBay account. She was a little dubious and told them zip (I am told). Last night/this morning around 03:00 am I tried to log in to my account according to email this am. I am now informed I should change my password. So I try to and it wont accept my password so I can't change my password. This leads me to conclude a) I am a dozy git, who can't remember his password (likely) or b) someone is trying to make off with my eBay account. Is there a human I can talk to...

If you can automatically log in to FleaBay, then disconnect your PayPal account from it - this will be the bit they are after, not the "what I have bought" list. Or you can contact Paypal and they will lock the account for you until you are sure it's secure.
If you use Chrome to remember your passwords, you can access them if you go to "Settings", "Autofill", and enter your Google password.

Was just reading an article on from the Daily News on The Internet Relies on People Working for Free, and talks about cURL. Was curious what that was so googled it.
I was reading c U R L.
So did not click straight away this was curl, which i read a one word.
Don't know if this more related with dyslexia differences, or how I use the shape of words for remembering, which gets me confused when I spell a word correctly, know it is spelt correctly, but because it is either all lower case or has a first letter capital I just stare in confusion why the word looks wrong.
