So its aliment is in it, and it's in its aliment.
Do I have that right?

Is this a temporary closure, or a permanent one? Is it ever likely to be restored again?

Permanent. I think the hamsters got fed up with the level of trolling going on, and decided that belongs on FarceBook.

It was a good place to go whenever I needed to feel like I wasn't being coherent, I usually felt better when I could read some real incoherence.
I do miss the jokes.
It was broke, so I fixed it.

Well the hamsters were fed up by people ignoring them rules, breaking the wheel.
So the hamsters decided that if they can't repair the wheel to run it on, they just leave it broke and by now it disappeared.

I must admit I didn't frequent it that often, but when I did it was usually an interesting place to visit.

Why do you want to get rid of me? I'm not a web programmer at all, but I think I invented microservices (or something very similar) before I ever heard of that word.

Because while microservices are in theory a good way to isolate different parts of a large process, the way they are implemented by most web programmers is enough to make you want to kill them.
It's the same as motorcycle riders. Riding motorcycles is fun, and can, in theory, reduce congestion on the roads. In practice, the way most motor cycle riders drive, they give the other drivers heart attacks.
