I used GoDaddy for many years and finally had so many problems that they couldn't resolve that I moved to SmarterAsp.net[^].
They have a completely free trial (no credit card needed) for 60 days and they inexpensive and provide one free SSL cert on some of their options that are quite inexpensive.
I've only had a couple of issues there and their tech support is responsive and helpful (amazing these days).
Here's my affiliate link if you want to help me get $5 when you do the free trial: SmarterASP.net - Unlimited ASP.NET Web Hosting[^]
If not that is fine, but I believe you'll find smarter.asp to be one of the best deals around for value and quality.

Oh, yeah, there was that. But my sites were fine. Probably why I kind of forgot about it.

If you can keep the SSL and hosting separate, I can recommend Let's Encrypt. I now have two domains (one Azure VM and one self-hosted) using it. The certs are setup to autorenew and so far it has mostly worked like a charm.*
*The exception involves getting dns authorization to work, but now I believe that was due to my impatience. dns auth is required when using a wildcard (*.domain) cert. I got around it using url rewrites.
Good luck and let us know what you choose.
Funny that as I was reading this post yesterday, I was in the middle of troubleshooting Let's Encrypt on my self-hosted domain...one of my goals before new years!

So I'm using Gplex, an almost completely undocumented lexer generator.
Fortunately, it's primarily a port of the C lex utility.
So the lex documentation is pretty good but they don't tell you whether the line and column info is 1 based or 0 based.
So I had to find documentation on ANOTHER port of lex, this one in Java
Luckily it had what I needed, but working with Gplex, this kind of thing has become a regular occurance.
I swear my documentation for this program is scattered across at least half a dozen sources, most in dark, unfashionable corners of the Internet.

For what it's worth: There is a small arc in one of the circles of Hell devoted to people who document their work using broken links.
When I've used third-party work in any form, I make it a practice of keeping a local copy of their documentation whenever possible. Most of the time this is easy, as the documentation is usually a set of static web pages or a PDF.
Too many times I've had the creator move links, abandon the work, or simply go out of existence net-wise.

Yes plz.
I didn't even get those. I had to google for what I found.

Ah now that is just disappointing, I got all excited that someone had finally made a film of that particular classic.

Isn't it crazy SIASL has never been made into a movie, or tv series ? I read the SyFy channel was going to do it, years ago. Another SF classic that I think could be great on film is LeGuin's "Left Hand of Darkness."

Ringworld, or better all the Known Space stories - done right, they could be superb.

Hmm. Who would you want to play Louis Wu? Teela Brown? I assume Speaker-To-Animals would be CGI, so voice?

Bring it up to date a little - more in keeping with the modern world - and make Louis Wu female: Dominique Tipper?
Teela Brown? s a tricky one - I've always considered her as "young, blonde, and "cheerleader-ish", but I'm not au fait with actresses like that.
Speaker is voice only, so ... Samuel L Jackson?

If you're switching genders on the characters:
Louisa Wu: Katie Sackhoff
Teller Brown: Tobey Maguire
OriginalGriff wrote: Speaker is voice only, so ... Samuel L Jackson? Hmm. I was thinking a voice with a lower register, given Speaker's size. Idris Elba, perhaps. James Earl Jones would be good too.
Aha! Vin Diesel.
We also need a voice (if not an entire choir) for Nessus. Karen Carpenter would have been perfect, but she's long passed. The voice would probably have an effect with it, since Nessus speaks with both mouths at once in harmony.

Nessus: Sharon den Adel, and Mariah Carey simultaneously. The two sets of vocal chords (or puppeteer equivelant) probably wouldn't be the same tone, so one low register and one high register female speaking / singing the same words at the same time, or "entwining" them to melody perhaps?
