Deed = Act
Turn = u ( as in u turn )
A hill = a tor
Could get something moving = actuator

REACTION?
Deed == ACTION, but the rest I can't even slightly justify...

That was a joke born of frustration. I had "act" and "ator", but could not get any further, probably because I didn't really know what an actuator was for. So thanks for the electronics lesson.

Just wondering if after closing the Soapbox (1 and 2), Indian and Chinese forum, was there a downward turn in the traffic to Codeproject or its just Business as usual.

You'd probably have to ask the admins directly, either by summoning them, or by posting in Sugs'n'Bugs[^]
the stats you want are available from various sites such as SimilarWeb, but they are probably too aggregated to show any visible trend yet. You'd probably need a "like for like" comparison with last January on a daily basis, weighted by general traffic change 2018 / 2019.

Whatever you do, DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!
The incantations are intricate, laborious and must be uttered precisely, the stuff you have to put into the cauldron obnoxious and digusting - if you can even get them to stay in there at all - and if your pentacle is not drawn with a hideous accuracy then you will be whisked away to the Dungeon Dimensions before you can ask why a wizard has a knob on the end of his staff.
You have been warned!

We already know the answer to this: to stop his hand from sliding off the end ...

Not to mention you'll also attract the attention of the darker CP denizens... such as myself...

Well if there was then it couldn't have been very much, otherwise I expect we would have seen those forums reappear already.
After all, traffic = revenue. I am not saying it's "all about the money", but a significant drop would need to be addressed (bills to pay, etc.).
Having said that, reducing the volume of nonsense posted in Soapbox has probably saved a few quid in itself

May be or it may be from core value of not having any useless forum irrespective of loss in revenue.

Yeah of course. I would like to think I would do the same too. But only so much loss you can afford to swallow.
However, if Soapbox had even been anywhere close to a significant contribution of traffic I feel this site would have died long ago. One hopes the other areas of the site are what people are here for.
My point was just meant to be: If it was a notable drop, something would have been done to correct it.

I agree, My only curiosity was if there a possibility that Google search shows Soapbox and Indian forum post for the useless stuff and after visiting it, people start browsing the other section and become regular.

Yep, it would be interesting to see some numbers.
I don't think we will get them though, which is why I thought I would just start making guesses... something to talk about so your post doesn't go ignored

I suspect it's less about revenue (important though that is) and more about not having a site hosting racist / sexist / other offensive material at all. Reddit this isn't!
