I love the way he talks as if he's been hard done by, because he's been prevented from fleecing people.
This only shows that no matter how much people come together and pull together during a crisis, there are always evil scumbags trying to profit from everyone's suffering.

His horde has been seized by the State Attorney General. A demand letter was sent early Sunday, and the storage locker was emptied later the same day. If you can trust the stories circulating on the internet vigilantes on twitface figured out where his storage locker was and tipped the AG's office off before the dirtbag voluntarily complied.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Last Wednesday my wife decided that from now on only those who actually do work in the warehouse will work from there, and others - including her - will work from home...
So we installed some cameras (both at the warehouse and home) to help communication with those at home and cramped in a table to set up a home-office to her...
At Thursday evening PM announced that schools are closed for now - so wife can not work as kids are home...
At Friday morning they checked my body-tempreture before allowed to entering supermarket to buy some food - there was almost nothing there...
Today I hope I can go to work - otherwise I will go nuts...

My wife works in the health system, so she needs to continue as long as they can. I am more or less forced to make home office / vacations / extra hours reduce for the next 5 weeks, take care of the kids and work in the afternoon / evening when she is back home.

Yes... and what do you want to say?
Because I fail to understand which kind of relation are you seeing that makes the question relevant.

Yes, I know... and when did I say something different making it worth for you to start this?
I am forced to stay at home and take care of the kids, I already have infected people in my social circle and my wife is more at risk than you and me together, but she still goes to work to help other people.
My mother passed away in November due to another illness, but if she were alife alive, she would very probably be a victim of CV because she was damned weak.
But I still try to continue living my life as good as I can, that is what I told you in that message.
Quote: You are not the only person with know people infected and there are many users here that have lost loved people by any kind of diseases.
Life continues, if we want it or not. Try to keep moving with it and don't get stuck.
And I continue saying the same.
Or am I missing something along the lines?

I just had an email from the dominant retail chain in our area that they will be closing 3 hours earlier for the time being, to give their staff more time to
a) sanitize the public areas and
b) to restock shelves in view of the significant increase in turnover they are experiencing.
My daughter works in the deli area of the store and she is one of the staff members who have been temporarily re-assigned to goods receiving area where incoming items are processed, to help with the processing of the significantly larger volume of incoming shipments.
I am sure that this is a pretty universal situation in the country, that will help to alleviate the current shortages being experienced, at least to some extent.

And I would like to be wrong. You're not wrong per se, but the fact is that delivery chains are unlikely to get too badly broken (unless you can't live without a new iphone), so it's not a priority for Joe Public to fret over.

Quote: delivery chains are unlikely to get too badly broken Agreed! And here where we are the most critical food items (most vegetables, bread, eggs, etc.) are produced in areas not far from the city. So these items do not need to be transported over long distances. Other items (canned foods, paper products, etc.) are a different story!

Not every place are like this. There is many areas that have got specialised in only a product to maximize the benefits... those are the ones that will get hit hard if there are logistic problems.

Nelek wrote: Until the delivery chains break Why will they break? The people who make toilet paper still have to feed their families so they'll keep making toilet paper. The trucking companies need to feed their families so they'll keep trucking toilet paper. Grocery stores need to feed their families so they'll keep selling the toilet paper.

Example #1: The logistic company moving something from one land to another gets closed by quarentene.
Example #2: The driver of the lorry moving A to B has a simple cold or maybe the "normal" flu, but it is controled in the frontier and they think might be a corona, lorry stoped and driver in quarentene.
Example #3: Some people working at the harbour gets infected, the harbor closes due to quarentene.
I know, those examples are things that might be repared, but the delay could be big enough to have shortcuts on concrete products.
And in extreme cases the chain could break.
Only because the people wants to feed their families, it doesn't mean that they get allowed to.

All of those scenarios can disrupt the supply chain but none should break it.
