My age is showing -
I started on 5 1/4 floppys, 'fixed' to use both sides. Then I bought a 5MB 14 inch platter drive from a surplused PDP-11 (and wrote all the Z80 code to run it with CP/M) - when I got down to about 250K I got a 20MB PC drive - got down to about 500K I got nervouse and bought something larger
I now have 5TB of SSD and a WD 16TB NAS with RAID5 and about 10TB Free. I am starting to worry about the next iteration up.
My take away: you always need 10% more than what you have.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, navigate a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. I couldn't press the delete button either so went to wish.com and purchased some cheap 2tb usb sticks to use as a final resting place they are slow to work with but the are cheap and they store stuff that may be required some time.

"Last resting place" indeed - most of the cheap sticks / cards on Wish are fake: much smaller memory that misreports itself as far larger. Everything works when you write it, but when you try to read it back it's overwritten everything multiple times.

I can't parsley that.

When my daughter was about four, she could identify fourteen different spices by smell. She loved to impress her relatives and playmates with that.

Forget relatives and playmates. I'm impressed too.

Being seriously visually handicapped, she was far more dependent on smell than most kids.
When she grew older and we got ourselves a dog, she used to walk him. We were always careful to pick up what he left behind. Once when it was getting dark, and she was wanted to take the dog out, I asked: Are you sure you can see his sh*t now at night? She answered as the most natural thing: But I smell it, daddy - that is no problem!

Sidetracking: I am amazed how many of my friends who know the folk song "Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" just listened to it as a beautiful melody, without ever considering the "idea", or "message", of the lyrics.
